    Botting specs 1090t BE edition vs FX-8120

    Looking to run about 10 bots on one of these, I was told don't even bother with the fx-8120 bulldozer by people on rsbots, but this was an old post from the days when rsbots actually worked.

    From a friend I heard if injection bots are the future the 1090t BE would be the best option with the fastest clock. He also said simba seems to really like more cores, so then the Fx-8120 would be the best option. I'm torn between the two.

    Yeah, i realize i probably wont run that many now, my friend said about 10ish simba bots would be viable with this.

    Intel processors beat out AMD in just about anything.
    Get a i5 or i7. I hear i5 overlocked is beast!

    I have a 1055T (pretty much same as 1090T) and it's overclocked to 3.85Ghz, most I've done at once was about 8, but I could squeeze in a few more, so I'd say a 1090T would get about 11-13 maximum.

    Get a i5 or i7 to run more.
    Too early right now to even consider buying. Not many public/acessible gold farming scripts are out so it would take you a while to make any good money. Unlss you are buying the processer besides jut for running more bots, then go fo rit.

    @FunForRunescape... I higly doubt that. I'm on a 1055T 3.85Ghz and I can run 8 easily, and probably up to 12 maximum.

    I have a private script I plan on buying from somebody. I'm just not sure which will run more bots. With simba I'm guessing the fx-8120 would run more due to the fact that simba likes more cores apparently, but on the other hand i notice epic bot is trying to make a comeback making 1090t a viable option also. Don't quote me I may be incorrect.

    The problem with intel is I already have an amd board and everything read to go.

    A better processor is a better processor. Certain ones being better for certain bots is BS.

    Oh okay, ya then go AMD, just look up benchmarks online comparing all the different AMD processors and stuff and pick which is better. (Basically PhenomII vs FX). Also remember, often times buying a lower model of a processor is okay since you can often overclock it to be just as good as the higher model. Ex I have just a 1055T, but I can easily OC it to 3.85Hgz so no need to buy a 1090T. Also make sure to get aftermarket heating if you wish to OC.

    Yeah, i'm pretty much settled on 1090t gonna hook it up with an aftermarket fan and try to get it to 4.0-4.2

    How much ram would you think is recommended? 8gb? 12? 16? Am i way off? I heard something like 250mb per bot.

    EDIT: on simba I'm thinking 1gb should be safe per bot, gonna pick up 16 gigs to be safe.
