PayPal Help

Hey.

So about 1-2 years ago, i was permenantly suspended from Ebay

The reason why:
I sold a virtual item, and i was chargebacked for almost $400 AU. I refused to pay this back as i did nothing wrong.



What i'm worried about is, if i make a new PayPal (It will have to be under the same name, as my Debit Card is, will they track me down, and withdraw the funds from my account?

If you are on a -$400 in your paypal account, and that account had all the details including the cards details, then paypal will detect this card automatically and will probably force a payment on your new account.
It depends on how much detail was put into the paypal account. If it only had your full name, you are not going to be caught. If it had your correct address and full name however, then paypal will detect you immediately.

You are right not to pay back if you did nothing wrong. It is paypal's fault, not yours.

 

If they take the money, just contact your bank and ask them to chargeback the payment.

 

Ah yeah.

I've got a new card, my old one was just a Maestro card, and the new one is a Mastercard. Would i be safe?

 

Maybe. Do you still have the same address? Phone number? Etc?

 

You're more than likely safe. If anything bad does happen, just call up your bank and ask for charge-backs.
