Faster respond time for reports, deleting threads, etc.

This thread hasn't been looked at and should be deleted since it talks about hacking. It's been nearly 12 hours since the creation of the thread and people are just constantly spamming. I don't know what the deal is, but when so many staff members online, it just needs to be deleted faster.

But, you are more than 110% correct on this.
I've seen it, a lot of important reports are going un-answered, yet there are 5+ mods on.
I have a list of like 10 people who need to be banned for evading/hacking/phishing/etc and it's been 2 days, it's still in the RaS section.

All set. Just for future reference, we aren't always doing spam reports when we're online. I read every PM I receive, so please feel free to send me one if there's a particularly concerning spam report that needs to be dealt with quickly.

I understand, but all the Mods should be alert for any of these threads. It's not just responding to reports necessarily but just looking out for these sorts of threads.

 

I think HHN is trying to say that it's not just about looking at spam reports; it's about checking your section every now and then.

How would you like the idea of a stickied thread somewhere whee you could just drop links off to threads that need immediate attention?

 

What qualifies a thread to be on that sticky?

I don't see this actually helping. If you were to make a sticky, make one informing members to PM all of that section's mods regarding urgent issues.

 

Yeah just brainstorming here. If I were the general sythe user I'd add 4 - 5 mods on msn as well.

 

The sticky thing would probably just get abused. I think PMing is easier for things to immediately be removed.

However, I do think that sectionals should check their sections every once in a while!

People would abuse it.
That is the thing.

Nothing can be done about it.
People will abuse any outcome of ideas to help get important reports done quicker.

Just pm a mod if it's urgent (Malicious intent)

 

That's an unfair statement, frankly, and you shouldn't be basing that off a couple of threads in one section that weren't seen. We do check our sections quite frequently. It isn't reasonable to assume that we'll catch everything that goes through our section; members are allowed to report posts for a reason.

 

You're right. I am glad that you check your section frequently. I didn't base my opinion on a couple of missed threads though.
