PlayStation 4 Release Date Revealed

PlayStation 4 will release on November 29th, 2013 in Europe and November 15 in the US and Canada. Revealed during Sony's Gamescom 2013 press conference, the $400 next-gen console's date will compete with Microsoft's November release window for Xbox One.
PlayStation 4 has already surpassed 1 million pre-orders worldwide. It will launch in 32 countries.

Who's going to buy it?

 

Not me, Xbox will keep it's place in my heart.

 

Xbox one is really overpriced in my opinion. It's $100 more than the PS4, and that's a lot.

 

First off, it's $100 as of now. They have not made this official, there's still a big release going to be announced at their gamescom. Rumors are it may or may not be regarding price.

Regardless of the $100 extra, you get more with the bundle then you do with playstation's.

 

you cant pre order a PS4 anywhere everywhere they are sold out.

 

I think the only extra thing you get with the xbox is the kinect. If that's true, then it's really just plain stupid. Some people might not want to play kinect games, so basically, they're being forced to pay an extra $100 for something that they're not willing to play.

 

$100 is not that much extra to pay for a better multiplayer gaming experience. Aside from the price, if it's that much of a burden, sell the kinect once you set the console up.

 

Kinect is complete shit for people above 12 if you tell me.

also Xbox one is worthless if you don't live in the USA

and even if you live in the usa i would still get the PS4 imo.

i will probably buy it in a store at the day of release.

i was one day to late with pre-ordering and now they can't even guarentee a PS4 in 2013 when you preorder it -.-

Well, everyone who's buying the xbox will already have the kinect. So if you buy an xbox, and try to sell the kinect, you won't be able to find a buyer; that's because people already have the kinect, so of course they wouldn't buy another one. I don't know, really. The idea of forcing customers to buy the kinect along with the Xbox One is really just pissing me off.

@JustHere: Why is it useless for people who live outside of the USA? Is there a specific reason? Elaborate please.

 

Similar to the current bundles, kincets won't always be included. However, the kinect does serve many positions.

Example: You can swap settings with the kinect and headset so that you talk only via headset and use the kinect for in game orders such as "attack orders" for battlefield instead of using the dpad.

Nice! Unfortunately, I won't be getting it in Egypt. It'll be $400 in USA and other countries, but as usual, it'll be $500-$550 around in Egypt (which is pretty expensive) so I'll buy it when I can from another country.

 

Ps4 is coming to 32 countries on release day. Xbox is like 13 or something. You think all those Europeans from the netherlands etc are gunna wait like a year for it to be released in their country? Nope they're gunna spring for a ps4. I have no problem with either console but sony appeals more to me in terms of exclusive games. Xbox kinda dropped the ball on this one. As far at the 100$ price difference they MIGHT release a model later on without kinect for the same price. Iv heard if you pre order the the x1 you get FIFA 14(while supplies last) to make the 100$ extra price point look better. Sony totally revamped their online experience. The UI looks much cleaner and looks to run a lot smoother and jumping into friends games seems a lot better with no loading times or menues to navigate through. The new $50 a year subscription is really gunna help them. Also there is no need to play the 50$ to access features like f2p online games other entertainment services like netflix etc, no need to be subscriberd to access the store etc. The $50 is purely for multiplayer (besides f2p games like plannet side and the rest)

 

Everything looks smoother in the first stages. Sony doesn't specialize in multiplayer the way Microsoft does. Release day, multiplayer on the ps4 is going to be glitchy as shit.

 

They might not have as much servers as microsoft atm but im sure it wont be to bad. Anyways i wont be getting either console on release date. If history is any indicater the hardware on both consoles are going to suck. Just like last gen im gunna wait 6 months to a year after release to even consider buying either one. Unless my fat ps3 breaks down in that time but i doubt it. Its been going stong since 08=)

 

I am still undecided, i may go with the ps4 just because it's what all my friends are going with and i want people to play with.. Hopefully there is some sort of extra warranty i can purchase to ensure if it does break i can get a new one.

 

Any true console gaming fan would pick the PS4 over xbox one. Just the xbox fanboys that will buy xbox one no matter what. E3 showed how much Sony were caring for the interests of the gamers whereas Xbox one just seemed as if it was a tv box lol. You see videos on Youtube where Xbox fans are flaming Microsoft for the big fail. But the Xbox fanboys will always pick the Xbox cause that's just the way it is....
