Needing help to construct a intoroduction paragraph

I need help to constructing my introduction.
The essay is over Torture. I am against torture. One shall not justify torture.

I need help.
Start out with a story or some type, then a thesis statement, then the introduction sentence with my three points that have to include Morality, Death, and Phychological Scaring. Then leading into my first paragraph. Can someone help me write one? Would very appreicate it, and a huge vouch! Thanks guys. LAST DAY OF LIT!

 

Is that a template you have to follow? Because it sounds like it is going to be redundant. If you start out with a story that outlines your argument, then have your three points you are just restating the same stuff. What you have to do is grab the readers attention with some kind of catchy phrase, maybe a witty quote from a famous writer. Next you need to outline your argument in a couple of sentences, then end with your thesis - being the ultimate summation of your argument. The thing to remember is that the introduction has to be engaging and draw the attention of the reader - or else it will suck.

 

Yeah, I suck at Introductions. I wish I could pay someone to do it for me lol. A quote would be better than a story. Thanks for that hint.

Anyone have a good thesis statement for me that I can use? One that goes against torture?

 

Just a really generic thesis:
"Because torture is immoral and sometimes leaves serious psychological and psychical issues (sometimes including death), torture is not and will never be a justified method of persecution."
