[MAC] How to edit Applications! (Simple!)

To edit any .app file.

Step 1. Control+click on the app and click "Show Package Contents".

Step 2.Copy the "Contents" folder onto your desktop. Open and have fun editing!

Note: If any files are still locked, click on them, then go to File>Get Info. There you should be able to unlock it so you can edit it. HAVE FUN.

 

Sorry, what is an application exactly?

I assume since you posted this it is important and I want to know what it is so I can try .

 

This guide lacks length and detail. Try adding more useful information because I'm sure some people will have no idea what you're talking about.

 

ew mac, no pics etc, no colours, pretty bad tbh

 

What other detail do you need? This lets you open and edit the contents of a .app file

eg. Windows Live Messenger.app

why the fuck would a guide like this need pics? Pics are for 5 year olds and retards. nice guide. i use a mac at school and it'd be cool to edit some shit and fuck up someones apps and all.

I get that alot lol. I used this technique to modify spore creature creator to install on my Mac 10.4 (You would normally need 10.5) Unfortunatly, the technique didn't work on regular Spore :/
