University Paper Help (Questionnaire)

The following questionnaire is aimed at those who have bought online gold, accounts or any commodity for PERSONAL use. I'm writing a paper outlining people using virtual games and markets to make a living or serious sum of money. I was hoping anyone who has bought an online commodity before (Bought RS gold, WoW account, Habbo Furniture, etc) could answer a few questions!

None of the questions I believe are too private, though you can chose to answer as many (or as few) as you like. If you do not feel comfortable posting them in this thread, please feel free to private message them to myself.

The paper focuses on trading within 4 games (Habbo Hotel, RuneScape, World of Warcraft and Aion). It focuses on how people can set up enterprises using these online communities to turn a real profit.

On average, how much have you spent within the last year on virtual goods? $200 but i've made more of these games than i've spent

For what reason do you buy these virtual goods?

To make the game funner or to profit from it.

What is the biggest in game investment you've made? buying 500m for .75c per mill then selling it to someone I knew irl for 1.50 per mill

What is the biggest profit you've made from an in-game investment? About $1000

What is the biggest loss you've suffered from an in-game invesment? On habbo I used to gamble a bit and one day I lost 25 typos and each typo were valued at $40 each. So $1000.

What is the largest win you've ever received from a duel, or wilderness kill? 500m+.

What is the largest loss you've ever suffered from a duel, or wilderness death? Lost around the same if not more.

I bought about 75k blood runes a week before FT was released, and they increased in price after FT due to the lower amount if runecrafters in the abyss.

200m (not from blood runes, from staking)
What is the biggest loss you've suffered from an in-game invesment? Don't "invest" enough to have experience a loss.

200m

Enhanced gameplay is a bonus, but mostly for ease of access and flipping GP.

20k Rocktails which were about 30m

Holding onto rares around the right time of the year makes me about 20-30m.

4M - Crashing supplies I had forgotten about.

I think that it was 15M on one bulk.

About 15M I think.

10M I think. I don't PK really. I let my IRL mate handle that.

Around ~40M.
