Sad day :( Grooveshark shut down forever, today.

Wow, definitely didn't see that coming..

 

Yeah, there's nothing like grooveshark out there

 

Spotify just doesnt have all songs up yet

 

hard to find OC and Remixes on spotify ;(

 

It sucks. All it stems from is major music labels being greedy.

 

I've never used it personal, but my dad mentioned it when I woke up, he was using it for all his songs, and now he can't find which songs he was listening too, anyone know how to like recover the songs? It's a slim chance but it's worth a try

You can stream every freaking song on youtube but if a third party allows you to do the same, they get all butthurt.

 

Just download your songs. Seems like a hassle but its better in the long run. No paying subscriptions/worrying about sites closing and losing your playlists.

 

True, but that's not a viable option for alot of people out there.

I found a really cool site, it's not exactly like grooveshark, but it's really, really close! Check out Deezer!

Not sure if sarcastic. But anyway. As I've said earlier in the thread that downloading music is not viable option for a lot of people. If you're looking for a good streaming site with a huge library, Deezer is the closest thing to grooveshark. They have licensed music and give you a free 1 month trial, after that you have to pay 5$ a month I believe or you can simply create another account.

Edit:Oh and they also have offline mode, so you can store songs in the app too!

 

I don't download music either, I buy physical media.

 

A cloud service would be better IMO.
