Oh god your first one:sick:
You at least used a render but serious poor effects... They aren't going anywhere. Looks like you just got excited of all the buttons and clicked them. Read a tutorial ffs.. everyone posts the SAME GODDAMN COMMENT. READ A TUTORIAL READ A TUTORIAL. It helps.. a lot. =|

omg jesse.. always fixated on tutorials. i think he has a fetisch..

Not that i dont agree, try reading some tutorials and learn some new techniques. But this is certainly an improvement! keep it up mate, you can still improve. I like your choice of colours, execpt, there could be some more white in the brushes.

Hope this was helpfull.

Oh I'm sorry, I just thought reading a tutorial would help people, instead of clicking random buttons. And I don't mean to be an ass but it's Fetish ^_^ .

sure it would help, but i've seen your various posts, and no matter what you say they should follow a tutorial. they shoulden't follow a tutorial, they should learn from them. Learn new techniques, but don't follow tutorials like a slave, that won't learn you anything. Some great art has come out of experimenting.

No flow. You didn't try to blend, use good colors or anything. Your text chose is horrible. Read a couple tutorials.

For your first times, not bad at all!
Some suggestions on the second signature; blend the render a lot more... use the soft brush tool and erase around the hair at the least, a bit of blurring would do some good too. Don't overlap the all the bubbles, move the last two out farther so that maybe half of the biggest one is off the edge of the signature, or you could just space them all out, but the overlapping makes it look too uniform.
Last suggestion, use a fractal brush with more flow. Some brushes are better executed in different ways and this isn't the best way to use that one. The crisscrossing pattern makes the eyes wonder way too much.... Also, give it a layer effect... maybe overlay or linear dodge....

EDIT: One last thing, the red in the left hand side doesn't look good. A simple fix is highlight it with the elliptical selection tool (select a circle a little bigger then the red spot so there's room after the next step), go to Selection menu>Feather>20px. Now, make that black and white then go to (without de-selecting) image>adjustments>color balance I believe and tweak it to fit the rest of the color scheme.

Why is a c4d in front of the render?
