First time with C4D

Take a look. Just slapped it together, to see what I could do.. I actually can't figure out how to render it out with the transparent background... You can tell when you see the black specks in the lettering. I've tried setting the output format as .png, and checked the alpha thing. Still no results. Help me out? Any good tuts you can suggest? Thanks in advance

try a .tiff and check alpha. or try .psd
i thank thats what i used when i had a pc. but when i got a mac it dident work an i now use .png
