Started making sigs like 2 days ago... here what ive done so far.

i just fell in love with photoshop though
First sig:




FAIL/uncomplete sigs:





Second sig: i experimented with clipping masks, used a Tut =]



Third sig: first time using fractals


Fourth sig:First using stocks and C4Ds. first human sig!


Fifth sig: First time experimenting with the liquify tool, trying to create flow

 

Clipping mask tag is pretty sweet, so is the fourth and fifth. Work on cleaning up your compositions, depth and colouring.

 

For your second day, you're doing great.

 

Yea the bottom right part of the the clip masking one is weird.

That can be fixed easily, just add a gradient map or something similar to equalise the colours (on the bottom right corner).

 

So do i make a new layer, use a marquee tool to select that are and use a gradient map on it and set it too overlay?

 

Yeah, the clipping mask sig looks like it was done by a pro.

 

Soft brush it with the same brown colour as the rest of the tag and then set to colour, should probably fix it.

Try Clip masking your text, sometimes it makes it look better Make the text on the above one a little bit bigger read some guides on text, i struggle a lot on text to.

 

Don't use text, that's the best advice I can give. Start using text when you really feel comfortable doing everything else first.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the decent looking sigs were modified similarly.

 

Oh shit... Thats not cool dude. but he did say he used a tut, and i believe i saw a tut. with that but it does look awfully similar.

 

It's a tut outcome, look at the background effects, they're different. Doubt he rips, and to be honest, I like his better.

I still really prefer yours haha. Don't like the washed out gradient map he used.

 

Im still anoob though, =[ Im still having trouble with C4Ds and stocks, i wanna learn how people use the "Pen tool" in sigs too.

Right now my mouse is broken. so sig making has to stop till i get another one.
till then im just looking at tuts. they reallly help out a lot.

 

wow those were pretty good, i tried photosho but i fail at it..

 

Tuts are okay to learn the basics, but effects and such are good to learn from PSDs
