Stop Internet Connection from going Idle For laptops..(Xp not vista)

[TUT] I think i know how to fix it if anyone still needs help, it was happening to me and in the middle of a download it would stop and i'd have to restart. It was making me so mad. I tried making this easy to follow, my first guide also. To fix it, try doing this:


1. Go to the start menu.



2. Right click computers and click properties.



3. Look at the tabs (i have windows xp, idk what it is on Vista) and look for the one that says hardware, then click on Device manager.



4. Then when the device manager is pulled look for "Network Adapters" then click the "+" by it so it shows all of your adapters.



5. click one of them until you find one that says "power management" at the top with all the other tabs and go to it.(use picture in Step4.)


6. Finally theres something at the top that might be checked, it says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if it is checked, then UNCHECK IT!(use picture in Step4 also.)


It was a pretty simple problem right? But if you didnt know where to find that(like me) it was a little complicated. If i helped you, Say thanks . If i didnt, im sure i might be able to.
