The last of us (game)

Ah, so after a good day of playing, I finished the campaign. And might I say, the game was awesome!

Has anyone else played? What are your thoughts?

 

I am a big fan of zombie games, so this game didn't come out so bad. The user interface was much better than I initially anticipated.

 

got it day one. Despite a saving glitch after playing for 2 hours it was a really amazing game. Slow start but the story was simple yet amazing. I loved the relationship between joel and ellie. *SPOILERS* I think what he did at the end was somewhat selfish but i can see why he wouldn't want her to die, but Ellie wanted it. She saw so much fucked up shit in the world and lost everything. She said she would sacrifice herself to have a chance to save any shred of humanity left in the world. At the end when joel tells ellie there were more of her kind out there he was not completely lying. If you collected all the recordings in the lab if i remember right they say that they had monkeys who where all immune to the virus and they did the same operation on the monkeys and they all died with no chance to extract a cure. I think if joel left her there to die it wouldn't matter if they found a cure or not. He had no reason to try and survive anymore. Like he said. "You need something to keep on surviving" Ellie was that reason. He lost his daughter and couldn't bare to lose Ellie.

 

You beat the entire game in a day? Wow.

I think from his perspective, the amount of time it would take to rebuild a civilization was not within both of their interests. I believe it was a time consumption conclusion.

 

I never really got the chance to try it out because I'm an xbox user (I regret that). If PS3 games will be compatible with PS4, then I'll definitely try it out.
