I got my wasr for 325 otd years ago. Fed and functioned well but was inaccurate and had canted sights brand new. Needless to say it was bad. Had a mak 90 i wish i never sold.

Best ak EVER. Plan on buying a saiga soon. Also either an ati, dpms oracle or s&w m&p sporter for my first ar platform.

 

Ohh damn that sucks man! Canted sights were a big problem with them, I obsessed before buying one so I kind of knew what to look for! Probably held like 10 or so before I picked one I liked!

Ooh damn dude that sucks, why would you sell the mak90 then go wasr10?? Only reason why I bought a wasr was because its the only ak my hippie state would allow at the time lol. Did you keep it with the thumb hole? I think thats the only minor thing I dont like about them!


Build your ar from scratch man, it's really a lot of fun and a cool learning experience....The lower receiver anyway, I've built one 1 upper so far and it was kind of nerve racking haha....anddd I was pumped when it didn't blow up haha.

 

Heres how my ak situation went. Had wasr 10. Sold. Got mak 90 for $600 strait cash (it had thumbhole and i kept it) got offered a norinco sks with tapco and reddot as well as original furniture as well as a pt1911 . Ended up trading pt1911 for feg high power and $100. Sold sks for $500.

I came out well on top, but now im left with no 7.62x39 platform and crying every night over the mak 90. I hadnt realized just how nice it was/is, plan on replacing gap with a saiga or o pap. Debating on the two, leaning saiga

i do however own a rifle, and a 12 gauge. haven't used either in years, used to go hunting occasionally with my grandfather however he isn't in shape to be hunting any longer so it doesn't get much use

 

Oooh I gotcha, I can respect that haha...firearm owners are always trading something they're sick of (at the time) for something else haha! But you did make out pretty damn good! $500 for an sks is great for texas, was this before the craziness or after? Because now here in NY they're somewhat hard to find and when I do they're trying to sell them for 600-700 bucks which I'm not doing haha. Get your mac back =)....from past experience I'm going to do my best not to trade a firearm for a firearm, I end up missing it in the long run...still kicking myself in the ass for getting rid of my m1a socom =(.

I always trade haha. Selling a sigle shot .410 today. Id love to find a mak but saigas make a great rifle for $500 less. O paps are great too but lack chrome barrel. Im fixing to pick up a sks with a broken stock for $199 . I have a ramline stock put away for just such an occasion. Then ill have 215 in a sks with pitcanny rail.

Those are not even sort of the same gun. And true skorpions are not .22 . If you have a .22 version that does sound cool though. Never seen one. But owned a tech 9 for a short time, its trash.

Hahaha thats not how it goes at all! Here in NYS theres a 5 round limit, 1 well placed round is all it should take anddddd no running haha. Usually in blinds/tree stands etc. . .

Personally I am totally against hunting with rifles as a SPORT, if you're doing it for survival that's fine. But I don't see sport in hiding out somewhere covered in your deer piss waiting for an unsuspecting buck to shoot with your scoped 308 or what have you.

Now if you can stalk and sneak up on a deer then take him with a bowie knife that's a God Damn sport, and I will pay good monies to see it haha.

Taurus was beat all to hell and i didnt do trade. Did get a savage mark II today for about $50. It was two bricks of .22 ammo. .22 is gold in Texas right now.

Well I don't currently own firearms (remember this is the UK so it is extremely difficult to get one here).

If there were no limits I would go for an M16 / M4, and a Glock handgun, maybe a G17.

 

I love AR's (semi auto m16's) I am not a glock fan. Sure they are reliable and lightweight but plastic/polymer guns are not my thing.

If you get the chance shoot a high power 9mm or a 1911 (full size) .45acp. Chances are youll turn your back on the plastic.

of course after a few discussion with sacro i picked up a manners T6 from http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/StoreFront i spent weeks debating between that or a aics, but not wanting to spend the extra $200 i went with the manners, and i can say it was worth the $600.

my only regret is that i don't have the time to get to the range to shoot it when ever i want, closest range to me is over a hour away and its only 100 yards, we do have a 1000yard range but you have to schel a date to go out.

 

Sweet Delt. I mainly do backyard shoots. Granted my buddy and I cleared out about 250 yards yards for shooting over the summer. Dont often get to take stuff past 150-200 yards out here anyways.

My next (bigger) move is a nice mauser of enfield mk 3-4. Im also on look out for a good priced SKS but people keep gouging.

If I find another saiga under 450 OTD im taking it as well. Looking to get into AR game but need to educate myself a little further before I slap one together
