I need help with my prelab. She assigned to us, but didnt teach us any of it she wants us to find it outselfs. I tryed but i dont understand any of it. Can anyone help me with any of the parts. Or all of em if ur an expert in them.

Prelab Activity for Diffusion/Osmosis

Part1: Osmosis
In each of the 3 conditions, predict what will happen to the bag weight(increase,decrease,stay the same)

Water bag in water breaker:

For each case give hypothesis (use terms such as hypertonic, hypotnic, Isotonic, Solute, Solvent, Gradient, etc..)
Explain Why.

Part2: Dialysis
Predict what you will measure in each test for urea, glucose, and starch in the bag. (hint: no glucose in the bag is not a prediction - because you will not actually measure glucose, but a colored reaction product with glucose!)

Explain why you predicted what you did.

Part3: Diffusion of a liquid Thru a gel
Where will you expect the blue line to form.
Closer to ferrous sulfate or Closer to potassium ferrocyanide or midway between the 2 chemicals.

Explain why you predicted what you did.

Part4: Diffusion of a solid in a liquid
As the purple color of dissolved permanganate advances, when would you expect it to show its greatest rate of advancement.
In the first 3 minutes Or in the last 3 minutes or Neither: same rate of advancements from begining to end.

Explain why.
