Ever come across someone selling runescape GP on sythe or maybe a steam account or an other MMO Account or items. Are they usually those 1-30 Post Leechers/Members with Maybe 1 or 2 Vouches? Ive noticed a Huge number of these but I don't know if you have every bought a steam account from Nextel [Is that Spelt Right?] He/She has a vouches page and most and I mean most of the vouches are from 1-10 Post nubs that joined like last month. Noticed how some of these people that joined last month think there mega Safe [Nextel is not an example vouches are just suspicious] and expect you to hand over $30+ first before you receive you Items,Account what ever it is. I'm just sick of these and had to rant about it. Please Reply Back On Your Opinions.

~Thanks for Reading - MM for Life

Finally, someone to raise this issue. Too many people think that if someone joined 1 year, or 2 years ago they are trusted. Hell no! Just means that they were either inactive, or super nice. Doesn't mean they are trusted. I think that post count is taken way to heavily when it goes to trust. Post count just shows how much you post, not how much you are trusted.

agree 110% people complained with my old mm thread because most had low post count, post count has nothing to do with a person. The truth is that most kids make a sythe account sell something or buy something then move on they don't actually stay on the site. and here a several months back remember all the "old school trusted people" scamming people and what not.

Meh, we have tons of these problems, it's not like it's hard for anyone to appear trusted based on money donated to the site, or various things like that. If you don't want to get scammed, use an MM and be cautious. Most people that get scammed didn't follow a precaution.

I slightly agree with the guy above ^^^. But yes, Post Count is your dedication to the community of a site, vouches do symbolize trust, but as you've heard many times before....Use an Official MM and no worries. There should be a "Force Read" on a thread about Use an MM. Don't complain if you didn't use an MM.

No offence, but no, they don't. The vouching system tries to symbolize trust, but in the end it fails.

There really is no way for a "trust" system to work over the internet. It just boils down to three things: playing smart, risk taking, or being a pussy.

Coming from a person who got over 1k post count in 4months, I think you have perfectly defended your reputation there :).

But yeh, post count dont mean anything.
I have been with sythe for 3 years... My post count went from 2.xk to 400 or something during some fucking hack that you are all on about. ( i wouldnt know - i got banned for fucking posting a picture of a sexy ladee).

But im a nice guy - i would never scam anyone :p

but there are people that made accounts and dont do anything for a long time. I only recently began dealing in the Black market, and if it were anyone else on my account - Im sure they would've abused my rank and date and scammed all you bitches.

So yeh - take precautions ;)

well post count counts a bit, but trades are the thing that defines are you trusted or not. adn the vouches from gurus, mods, admins etc.

Post count does come into play when trading. If someone with a high post count is most likely known around sythe, thus more people will begin to trust he or she because the person is dedicated to the forum, and is known. However it is the person that does matter aswell. A person with 500+ post could just scam if they wanted too, but with a high post count, why would you scam? It's too much work/dedication to the forum to lose it. Therfore post count does come into play when it we are talking about trust.

You are all twats. Go to a guide section, and look at people wanting guides to be verified. They will usually ask for a guru, or a mod to verify it. Once a guru does, then people will usually buy it.

So obviously post count does count for something.

    Read above.

Overall, post count is something that defines trust when you are trading.

You are more likely to go first to someone with 1k posts, and atleast a year sythe record than to go first to someone who joined this month, because the guy with 1k posts has more to lose.

Overall, post count is what people look at secondly.

    Vouches usually come first.

I find that a good formula is always the best way to trade.
Here's a simple one. For starters, the most simple is their post count * 1k

    1000PC=Max to trade.

It usually makes sense. Give the poor begging noob scammer maybe 1k, and you're most likely going to be willing to buy or sell a mil to a Guru etc.

Currently that means you would only trade 147k to me at max. Something along the lines of a newbish account.
