Few questions.

So I haven't played in like 2 years and I was wondering what's different? Not the small things, the really big updates.

Also, how much is a mill worth now compared to back then? Like I remember when a white party hat was 250M. How much are they now, etc?

 

Everything has changed. If you haven't already seen, Jagex brought back Runescape 2007 which the majority of old school players play. The EoC (new Runescape) went with an action (similar to WoW) and messed everything up in my opinion because they're not that type of developers.

White partyhats are more than max cash, I think. And atm EoC gold is very cheap. Ranging from $0.15 to $0.30 per mil

 

Do people play the 2007 version more or do they play the newer version?

 

A lot of people left the new version for the 2007 version.

 

Pretty much. The only people who are really left in the EoC are new members or those who started playing after 2007 changed. The majority of Runescape plays 2007 in my opinion. The only people i see when i get on EoC are botters.

 

White partyhats are around 1.6-2b.

The massive updates are that there has been a load of quests bringing new things into the game, ranging from turmoil to dragon claws. Also, there has been the EoC update, where combat has absolutely changed, different things affect your combat level, there has been a 'abilities bar' added and there has also been a new skill in the past 3 years, 'dungeoneering'.
