Well I was providing a service to move gold. I get paid to get the gold and keep the rest. So I moved it to my bank and pretty much only kept 20% of that amount so now apparently the "buyer" charged back everything. And it was based on the user clicking on my buy now button :/ idk what to do. I provided the service and now I'm stuck with this

I would call PayPal up immediately and explain the situation. If you leave it and refuse to pay they'll start having people knocking on your door eventually.

Oh wow, -20k is a shitload of debt to be in due to a chargeback. I would never accept a 20k payment via PP unless it was from somebody INCREDIBLY trusted, and even then I'd be cautious. You could offer them the 20% you took as a fee as a sign of good faith, but just be totally upfront and honest with them, but DO NOT MENTION IT WAS A VIRTUAL SERVICE.

Like said before, I would get on the phone with paypal immediately explain everything that happened and see what they say, bottom line is because you accepted the payment you are now responsible for it.

Probably not a good idea to lie about anything when dealing with this amount of money. Can you elaborate on the service such as detail of the multiple transactions (doubt it was one 20k thing)? Good luck OP.

Yeah more detail would be nice, but it sounds like you need to call PayPal and find out what you can do or something just don't let it go by

This happened to me once, not as much but was a high number and was for Runes ape stuff. I told them it was for virtual goods and they cleared it straight of my account within minutes of hanging up the phone. Don't lie tell the truth it will work in your favour and your scammer will instead be left in 20k debt...

This, you should do everything as possible, email paypal & call them too, as there are many operators and you might get the luck to talk with someone who will help

I must know one thing before answering any questions...

How the fuck do you manage to make $20K in transactions through PayPal, but have the possibility to get chargebacked that much of an amount too? Shouldn't there be some type of seller protection? Especially when they see you in negative balance in large numbers as there are more chargebacks being opened against you?

All I can say is, I've been negative $300 and other shit, never paid them. All they did was send me a mail here and there, once every 6 months, and it's been like 3 years. I just throw it in the garbage, as for you, since it's nearly 67 times more than my amount....I'd say to contact them and see WTF went on.

if the payment was indeed made by a stolen credit card then you will be in much trouble. as paypal isn't going to pay the $20k for you.
if you are lucky then paypal will reverse all the payments you've made via paypal so you aren't in debt anymore.

i would call them and if they can't help you then just wait to see what happens.

I'm pretty sure your odds are that they will try call you and if they do just explain that it was virtual, they should take care of it unless you fucked someone else.

There is a lot more to this story than you are letting on. You didn't make $20K on this without knowing you were involved in fraud. From what I can understand, some guy was using you to filter his frauded $ through. He got you to purchase gold on websites like mine, Arcus', etc. He was paying you 20% to do this, so you obviously had to know something was up. Why would he do it for any legitimate reason?

Now you say you've managed to get $20K out of the account. First of all, that means you MUST have Verified your bank account at the VERY LEAST for Paypal to let you remove $20K over a small time period (and this scheme would have to have been done quickly, before all the payments started bouncing).

All together, you were an aid to online fraud. You do not deserve this money.
