Feedback on a very simple logo

I'm looking to gather input on a simple logo. I currently have several variations of it, and want your opinion on which one would look best.

The business that this is for is a website solutions studio (design, development, SEO, etc). The logo itself is supposed to look mountain-like, and the solid white ones are more serious/modern, whereas the other ones are meant to look more playful (almost like origami - to represent the personal/playful side of our studio). Each one of these designs are different in some way (some very minor).

Color can be added later if anyone thinks there should be color added, but right now I'm looking for input on the design itself.

Anyone who votes for the one that I choose, and can back up in a post why they voted for it (possibly even giving criticism on stuff to improve) will receive some kind of reward once the business launches.

 

Seems reasonable to put the logo over the first few letters. I voted #8. Catches the eye and delivers what the product is about and such. It lets them know what they're in for.

 

#8 looks very professional, the symbol that represents rock/mountains fits very well above the word rock. #8 is a great eye catcher and gets the meaning across very well. #8 is your best one go with it.

I don't see any differences between 6 and 8 . Voted for 6-th.

 

I don't really see any difference at all between 5 and 7, so I voted for them both.

I like the placement of the mountains near the end part of the image, rather than the front. I think it clouds (pun) the image up too much when it's at the front, however, I think it would be better in the center (or slightly off-centered).

I like the blue color, but I don't like the grey. Try changing it to a slightly shaded color of white and see how that looks.

The "K" is cut off in 8 and not 6, only a minor difference.

The only difference between 5 and 7 is the height of the "T".

 

I like #6 and blue. I like the slightly bigger less cut off letters. #8 is good aswell.

 

I don't mind #1 ,#8 or #7. Voted for #1 because of it's simplicity and ability to catch the eye.

 

I would say blue colored.

 

Why must you choose a color for it now? The actual web page itself should be taken into account too, do you have any proposed designs for that?

 

Because I have a very limited time to get business cards and apparel with the logo on it. Yes, I have a design in mind, though it's in my head and not down on Photoshop.

 

I told ya white. White goes with any color and will be visible when printed on any color except white of course. You can't slap blue on green and and make it work for just a straight logo and text and you can't do the same thing with blue in red because then you have contrasting warmth.

 

6/8 are the obvious winners. Listen to nero hes pretty smart actually.
