Hitting Women

Take this example: You and your friend get into an argument which turns a little physical. After some pushing around and wrestling, things are generally resolved because in the end, you are friends.

Take this example as well: A man and a woman are in a fight (whether it be friends or a couple). The woman gets mad, and slaps/punches the man. The man is defenseless because it is "unacceptable" in our society to hit a woman back.

Is this right? Women today fight like crazy for equal rights, yet still try to be treated separately at the same time. I respect women in all aspects, but is it wrong to hit a woman if you are mad about something they are saying/doing? I am not talking about "beating the shit" out of a woman, but just a quick punch or slap to show you are upset/angry.

Equal rights, equal fights. Lets hear your thoughts.

 

idk. the laws are man cant hit woman... i think its fair if the woman strikes first for her to be hit back.

 

If the woman fights like a man. She deserves to get beat like a man.

If i was being assaulted by a woman throwing wild punches at my face. I would fight back. Everyone would.

Although a slap is acceptable.

I see it fit to hit a women if she hits you first, but only to an extent. If a women slaps you, i wouldn't say you have the right to hit her back. Though if she's punching, using a weapon, or anything like that i see it fine to fight back.

 

Honestly, i wouldn't hit a women if shes hot. If shes ugly and swinging like a boxer, then yea, who wouldn't?

I wouldn't fight back to slaps tho, 99% of the time guys deserve the slap.

 

It's just a taboo placed by society because women are "weak".

Same as above. If a guy slapped first, you would react accordingly. Why shouldn't it be the same for women?

I guess you could say also if a guy is significantly bigger than you then wouldn't fight back.

And lots of girls I know have deserved slaps from time to time. They can do it when we deserve it, so why can't we do it when they deserve it?

 

If a woman hits me first, i'd destroy her face.

 

Most situations I would just walk away, not worth the trouble, and I would not want to hurt her.

 

I support equal rights. Gender discrimination is not acceptable. As long as it is justifiable. If I'm being attacked by a woman I have every right to defend myself. It's ridiculous how a majority of girls are brought up thinking its bad for a boy to hit a girl, but vice versa is acceptable. Assault of any form is a crime...

I would never hit a women. It is wrong. Maybe defend your self example: Push her ? But thats it.

How is hitting a woman different from hitting a man?

Why is it wrong though? In a perfect world where each gender is treated "equally," why would it be different from striking a man?

 

First off hitting another person whether they are male of female is wrong especially if its "just a quick punch or slap to show you are upset/angry". Learn to use your words people don't need to be hit to understand your emotions.

Secondly hitting women is especially wrong because they aren't entirely equal to men. Women are born weaker then men. They aren't as strong and they are more fragile. That is the only reason why it is more acceptable to hit a man compared to a woman.

When women attack you instead of punching them in the face restrain them because they are weaker and call the cops. Problem solved.

 

One time in school my friend who was quite known as being 'hard' and he was a rugby player, his then ex girlfriend was slapping and punching him and he was defending, then she kneed him in the bollocks, he turned full on punched her, she hit the deck more than 40 people witnessed it and nobody felt sorry for her or even thought he was in the wrong, nor do I.

 

I wouldn't hit a woman no matter what she was coming at me with, I would just walk away and leave the situation.

 

I think in all cases, you shouldn't fight back with anyone (man or woman) unless you really feel you are in danger. If someone slaps you, let it go. If someone (man or woman) is in danger of hurting you then you defend yourself, not fight back. Of course this could result in them getting injured, but I think as long as you are not aiming to hurt them, and are only trying to do as much as you need to too protect yourself then it is O.K.

But despite of all this, hitting a woman will still be seen as 'wrong' in society.
