Official Thresh Discussion Thread

I think he's a great champion and has constant presence all game long. Scary early game, good base damage without needing to buy AP items and landing a Q on the enemy carry late game is a game changer. He takes a little to get use to and he's currently 7800IP. After 1 week he's gonna go down to 6300 as per the new system. (Basically Every new hero will be 7800 for a week then go down, and the oldest 6300 hero will go down to 4800, and a random 4800 hero will go down to 3k.)

Opinions? He's REAALY hard to take into ranked, even though hes a great support i've recevied nothing but abuse when picking him in ranked mode.

 

Seems like another broken support champion to me....

 

A very very strong support if used well and if the team takes advantage of the lanterns

 

Very difficult to play early game, a good enemy ad carry and support won't let you pick up your souls. Q has a little delay when used and is easier to dodge than blitz hook. W is a very unique ability, very good if placed right. E is good as well if you decide to pull yourself to enemies with Q or picking enemies to your ultimate walls. Ultimate has a high slow percentage and damage, the only thing I don't like about his ultimate is that the walls go away when activated but again, a champion can hit 2 walls so that's fair.

 

play thresh with a good adc and go the tanky route and he is simply AMAZING

 

Q cast animation is fucking long

 

great support saves adc all the time with lantern

 

W also very good tool for initiating fights with your adc in botlane! (place it run up bush adc uses it to jump ur position and u take turret fire for adc and he get the kill 9/10)

he is alot better than Blitz which is banned 10/10... kinda funny!

 

When you play Thresh, don't even put a lantern on a minion

 

Took me a few games to master the Q, because it is the worst skillshot ever to hit. I love him now though.

I said the same thing about Nami though when I picked her up and now I never play her, so we'll see how long this lasts.


EDIT - The souls aren't bad at all to pick up, if thrown by them your lantern will suck them up, so you can't really be denied soul farming at any point in the game.

 

Yet to play him. Rarely get to try new champs due to Ranked games/Aram
