Things that go bump in the night

The other night after staying up watching movies since I couldnt fall asleep due to the fact that I have bronchitis I decided to take a nyquil and try to get some rest.

After about a half hour I heard a bump on my window thats located directly above my bed. It startled me at first but I soon realised there was a storm outside which was probably making the branches of a tree knock against my window.

Twenty odd minutes later I hear another, louder knock which again startles me, I cautiously look out my window, nothing. This is when it starts to get weird; a couple minutes later I start to hear hissing outside my window followed by what I can only describe as a inaudible "darth vader like" voice which makes me jump out of my bed and turn on the light.

Being to afraid to look the window (I know, I know) I decide the best course of action is to just take another nyquil and try and fall back asleep all the while there is hissing/weird noises outside my window. After falling into a deep sleep I am awoken at 3-4 in the morning by a blood chilling scream that I swore to god was some kid outside my house being murdered/kidnapped. I instantly ran out of my room and woke my parents up and asked them if they hard heard anything, (dick move Ik) my dad gave me a look like I was crazy and told me no and to go back to bed.

I stayed awake for about 20 minutes after that unable to fall asleep staring at my window waiting for something to happen, sweat beading down my face. Being to tired to think and to much of a pussy to look out the window expecting some ted bundy esque serial killer to be staring me in the face I took alot of cold medicine and went to bed.

I woke up in the morning to the sound of my neighbor screaming outside my house, I immediatly put on some clothes and ran out the door expecting the worse. As I walk out the door ready to walk into the front yard of my house (which is directly in front of my window) I hear my neighbor scream "Its all over, Its all over!"

Seriously expecting something crazy I walk into the front yard and see a portion of the front lawn covered in blood/fur with two of my neighbors cats dead in the middle of it.

-I fucking hate cats.

-Did not know cats made those kinds of noises

-What kind of 40 year old women screams over the death of her cats?

Anyone have anything happen to them along these lines?

 

Something like a Coyote or a Wolf must've killed them . We have Coyotes here in Florida that kill peoples pets .

 

I think it was actually just other cats since I live in the middle of the city.
