fastest way to lvl ranged and def?

hey guys so i was wondering ... i have just came back to RS07 and started myself a ranged tank and was wondering what would be the fastest way to get to 70 def and ranged? i currently am 40 def range and i am killing rock crabs, any other suggestion?

Chinning for range and lets say zombies for defense or rock crabs, im no expert though.

 

I'm currently building a range tank aswell. You should be able to quest up ur def level quite a bit and then, if you got enough money chin ur def lvls aswell

 

which quests do you suggest i do to get def xp?

 

Just get put it on defense mode -- Range + def exp

 

If money is no concern you can chin for the range xp and chin for the defense too or burst/barrage rock lobs, idk what yelds most cp per hour on def

 

go to experiments until like all 70's if you want (creature of frank. quest). or, you can go to NMZ with higher str/attack. with prayer, though

 

To get to 70 def/70 range, you are going to want to stay at rock crabs. Buy a bunch of iron knives (5k+), and go at it. It might take you a little while to get range, but once you get to 61 range you can rune c'bow (defense) blue dragons and make a little money too. If you don't care about hp, you can go to the range guild to get ranged xp too

I'd say chinning as others have suggested

 

chinning is worthless if he is only 40 range. I'd say get atleast 60 then start grey chinning and at 75 red chinning. Also if you have the money quick xp is cannoning.

 

There are various ways of training these two specific stats.

Range:

1. Range Guild.
2. Ogre Pen (King Lathas Training Camp)
3. Rock crabs (Cannon).
4. Nightmare Zone.
5. Chinchompas (Suggested: 60+ range).

Defence

1. Quest yourself up to roughly 45. (Refer to berserker guides).
2. Bandit Camp.
3. Al Kharid Warriors.
4. Monks (Edgeville Monastery).
5. Nightmare Zone.
6. Slayer tasks.
