What are the strength levels for new max hits for the abyssal tentacle?

What strength levels give you new max hits for the abyssal tentacle?

 

New max hits? The max hit for tentacle is 25 with 96 strength.

The new helmet give a +5 strength bonus as the nezzy gives +4. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

 

So it doesn't matter if I have 96 strength or 99 strength? Like there's ABSOLUTELY no difference in the two? Because I want to begin staking right away.

 

You need 97 str for the max dds hit, and 96 str for max whip or tentacle hit.

@99 str staking a tentacle whip has the same max hit as a normal whip if I am not mistaken?
