    Unrecoverable Accounts?

    Is there any TRUE way to make an account unrecoverable?

    I know about the security features behind recovery questions, registered emails, and JaG, but does this make it truly safe? The reason I ask is because I see A LOT of accounts in the 150-200 range that I'd LOVE to buy, but I don't want to throw money away knowing it'll be recovered.

    I know the safest way to buy is from a trusted seller, but lets face it, trusted sellers have MUCH higher prices. You pay for the trust, which makes sense as they earned it. However, you can get an account that is 2x as good for 1/2 the price.

    Is there anyway to truly ensure that the account will ALWAYS stay in your possession?

    No. Simple as that lol.

    To clarify;

    The original owner can have all the information you put on it erased in about an hour or so by posting on the runescape forums. After that all he has to do is a manual recovery using the details he knows best. He also usually has the IP the account was created on (or the one the account has mostly logged in from). He'll have the account back in his control in less than an hour usually.

    Edit: the reason you see those accounts go cheap is exactly because they can (and will) be recovered.

    Nope. The older version of those recoveries, creation details, etc will still remain invaluable in being able to recover an account.

    your statement contradicts itself. You say no an account will never be safe, but the information is not usable in recovering?

    He means that all information the original owner has (recoveries/creation details/membership details) enable him to easily recover the account.

    Say if you both have all the information, even then he'd get the account. If you tried to recover jagex could even block your IP from ever trying to recover it again.

    As long as you have the ip address the account was created on, you can ALWAYS get it back.

    There is no way to truly "own" an account that isn't yours, ultimately it's a question of whether or not you trust your seller
