Inside the mind of a Scammer.

Having spoken to this person who earlier stole a Green H'ween Mask and Blue H'ween Mask from me, I sucked out interesting information on how this 'person's' mind works. I spoke in a friendly manner to avoid him ignoring me.

Below are lots images - the best is till last.

I almost got scammed by a guy impersonating Lucster once (Lucscter is a very active gold seller/phat trader here on Sythe). After I discovered it was an imposter and brought it up, he laughed and told me I was much smarter than all the idiots he fools on a daily basis. I was quite intrigued with this guy and so I asked him some questions which he willingly answered.. but apparantly he scams bils sometimes if he gets lucky and finds a dumb person. And he seems to have no conscience about doing it either.

You can't just generalize that all scammers are of one malevolent complex. People that commit crimes are all of different origins and you can't pinpoint the characteristics of one just by assessing what kind of demeanor, and lingo they have. You, or I, or anyone here could be a scammer and you'll never know. An interesting read nonetheless. This particular scammer enjoys what he does, and i guess thats what you've captured. Just don't be mistaken enough to associate all scammers equally.

Iv'e been scammed one time, that was back when I was about 14, this guy told me that Addy (g) was worth 10m, So I bought it off of him, then he told me that the price went down and said he would buy it back for 10k, so I said alright sure. I thought he was being serious and trying to help me. That day I lost 10m. It was the worst day in my Runescape career.

Stereotypical view? Do elaborate, because from what i've gathered, you are basically insinuating that if anyone believes that scammers are unique and unpredictable, they holster a stereotypical view. I suppose that a non-conventional view would entail one that believes that scammers can be easily profiled and apprehended simply by the way they approach you online?

Some scammers are good at what they do. They believe that all of there unjust actions will be un-noticed and they will get off scotch free. However, I completely disagree with 'Scamming' People insinuate that scamming is almost considered a life style of the Runescape 'Gaming' world. However, it's people like this one who ruins the good name of Runescape.

Actually, you have misunderstood me. My sentence was stereotypical for which reason I amended it. Before, I mentioned looking into "fraudster's minds" comparing all of them to this one. I amended the sentence to avoid a stereotypical view.

Well I suppose anyone can Scam anyone, people just need to learn that they are doing it at their own risk. Some people can be trusted, and others can't.

Scammer, and a compulsive liar, the two seem to go hand in hand.

There's no way he turned 220m into 30b, and has sold 120b on sythe, karma's a bitch, that's all I have to say. Sorry for your loss.

So basically it's not ok for this guy to steal $90 from you, but it's ok if you steal an annual salary worth from someone else?

    Nice hypocrisy there OP

Yeah, seeing as scamming someone out of an annual salary would hurt FAR worse than $90. Apparently you wouldn't have wanted to be hurt by him stealing your $90, yet you would actually want someone else to hurt A LOT more? Do you know how devastating it would be to lose a year's worth of hard earned cash in almost an instant? How would you feel if someone that evil and coldhearted stole that much from you? I highly doubt you'd be singing praises.
