Discontinued Items Price Drop?

I was thinking...

RSGP - Price will continue to drop via IRL money
Discontinued Items - Price will continue to increase via RSGP

Will there be a point where RSGP is valued so low that the IRL prices of discontinued items will stable out and stop increasing?

EDIT: Only took macroeconomics two years ago (about to take microeconomics next semester), but isn't this bound to happen according supply/demand?

 

I think the price IRL is the same, what changes is the inflation of RSGP due to bots. the price IRL should be the same because the supply is the same but the demand may be greater due to botting. in that case it will only become cheaper once the bots are gone.

 

I don't think so, because discontinued items are being lost every day. It's just like a gun from the civil war, there's only so many legit ones. Once there's only a few left, the prices will be even higher than they are now.

 

Partyhats represent the GP value market very well.

When RSGP becomes less price / Party hats rise and when RSGP becomes more price, party hats lower in price.
So without a mass demand of gold, most discontinued items will continue to rise.

The prices of RSGP could theoretically drop to 1 cent, but there's no upper roof on the cost of a discontinued item, so they will continue to rise indefinitely.

It's sad but rares will never have a point when they drop unless the price of GP rises which will probably never happen unless FT is removed.

 

As a mass influx of gold rises (thanks to bots, etc), Rare's will continue to rise at a steady rate, as more people are willing to pay more for it.

As value per mill lowers in price in real life, Rare's will continue to be worth more, as Rare's raise in value more then Gold lowers per million.

 

i think the price of rsgp will stable out after awhile and thus rares will keep increasing

 

I own 2 partyhats, a red and a purple one. What people fail to realize is, NO MATTER WHAT DISCONTINUED ITEMS CAN ONLY INCREASE. Because of the simple fact, You can't get them anymore. You never will be able to unless you buy from someone so they can only increase.
