my first sig =]

Well i downloaded the trial of CS3 to see if i like it i do lol but i made this took about 15 mins
i couldnt think of anything for my background so i just used the gradient.

i know its not that good but anyways any advice on how to make it better would be good and if you guys had any ideas for the background aswell.

umm it came out lighter then i made it let me try fix it

 

TBH, maybe a poor color choice, but it's quite nice for a first. It needs very little more, but just a bit of something to make it good.

i might put a border on it just a black one
could you tell me how to get just a 1px black border?

 

The easiest way is to merge all of the layers and then click the f at the bottom right of the screen (in the layers menu.) From here, add a stroke, change the color to black, and the pixels to 1 (rather than 3.) Done.

 

why not create a new layer select the whole layer, and then justgo to select>modify>border?

Why not just make a 1 px selection with the given tool? Because there are many ways to do this. For me I find this to be the fastest way to make a single pixel border.

 

I got the border done do you think it looks better with or without?

 

I think you should make it a 3px border can barely see the 1px and i like a little border in sigs =P imo

 

Ok ill do it again with 3px to see what it looks like.
