Abuse of Power.

I feel that the "Sythe staff" have abused their power for revenue. It just seems that due to their "trustability," they seem to believe that they shouldn't have to pay as much, or charge more money than what the average person may charge.

For example. RSGP.
I've been away recently, and have noticed that RSGP's pricing has dropped substantially. BUT, I've also noticed that SOME(not all) staff members are buying/selling gold at prices that are not even reasonable.

Yes, you are staff- we get it. That should not mean that since you're this "authority figure", should you be able to utilize that to gain more revenue than the next person looking to make money.

It just seems as an abuse of power to me, and it should be taken into consideration.

I know there are going to be many d-riders on this thread kissing ass to those that run the site, but it is true. Many are going to argue that they have the rite to, but why should they be able to bring the price up or down by 0.20/0.30 just because they are staff?

Just a thought.

Lol being staff has NOTHING to do with prices. It's supply and demand buddy. Haven't you noticed that people are running MASS gold farms, earning hundreds of million coins per day? It just gets to the point that there is too much of gold vs the amount of people that need it. Also, no one is forcing you to sell them gold. Go sell it some place else, it's their prices, they can buy it at any price they want.

Also i'm not really aware of any staff that buys rsgp, only nick but he stopped as he quit.

 

They have donated much of their time into fixing and making Sythe.org a better place, I think a few cents per mil is barely any reward considering the amount of time they put in.

If you don't like it, don't sell to them, they are not forcing you with ban threats. It's your choice.

 

Its more like paying extra for a guaranteed safe transaction. In the first place, they got chosen only because they're trust-able to handle and regulate parts of the forum. It is no abuse of power, your wrong. Anyways, if you had an advantage, wouldn't you take it?

 

How is this an abuse of power? Anyone can set whatever prices they feel like, not just staff.

 

Putting a price of how much you're willing to pay isn't abuse of power... I was trying to buy mils for .50c each when they were .65. What power do I have that I abused lol.

 

If you don't like someones buying / selling price, it's simple, go elsewhere.
I also think you'll find that most of the big players help to control the market. The likes of Viou, Video, R2P, Busta etc all have prices which reflect the current market status, and as GP prices are declining, so are their prices.

Pointless thread is pointless. If you have a problem with a staff members price, it's simple. Go find someone else to buy/sell from. There's no abuse taking place. Some people would rather pay a higher price for GP or sell for less for a guaranteed safe transaction. That's on them. No one is forcing you nor them to pay or sell at our prices.
