It can't really determined if a person is post counting or not when they place a bid. Circumstances change and who knows what a person is thinking. It's too much hassle reporting each of the them and forcing the staff to sit and just delete single posts....

I do understand your point though.. it IS annoying but reports take long enough... this would create too much of a workload for them.

He didn't mean that mods should delete and infract every single poster... he meant that just like in the spam forum, post count should not increase while posting in the black market.

I was gonna say that you can show an empty log but that won't work.

And I think someone made this suggestion already and they named the thread: Adding

I dont mean that we need to sort out whioch one is fake offer and which isnt, i mean that posting in balck market wont increase ur post count, same as in report a spammer section.

If they had a change of heart, they can simply delete their post. It's pretty obvious when someone is just spamming.

I'd just say post count shouldn't be increased in account selling sections.

As stated by many people, the solution is to disable increasing post count in the black market section.

Why don't you just report for spam?

It takes away from the people who actually have real offers.

I've seen it happening as well, but it doesn't seem to be too large of a problem...

It even happened on some of my threads where I tried to sell accounts. Just ignore them, a larger post count isn't really a big deal anyways...

I honestly don't see what the big deal is about post count. It just counts how many posts you've made. We might as well disable it in every single section, or stop making a fuss about it. If we want to reduce the amount of bullshit posts, why not add a rule like this...

Anything that is private should be sent through the private messaging system. This includes but not limited to: asking for MSNs, saying you're interested to buy something, offering for an item (unless it's an auction). Everything that is meant for everyone to discuss may be posted.

That will make it a lot more clear on what's spam and what's not, and it will combat against bs posting.

How will that help reduce the amount of spam? That will just increase the number of spam reports, and then leads to moderators not having enough time to do them, thus 50 pages of shit in the report a spammer section.

Removing post count from the Market is stupid. If the offer is completely outrageous, then report it and I'm sure they will get punished for spamming. There is little you can do about it, other than reporting the post, but removing post count from the Market is a very, very stupid idea.

    Do not support stupid idea.
Basically everyone will be reporting offers.
The mods cannot tell if it is fake or not.
There is no way at all to provide proof either.
Unless they tell you they posted to increase post count on msn or something stupid.

I agree what your saying, lets just wipe all post counts, lets base it on your vouches/time here, but that's just to show "activeness" and other "fun" aspects of this site, but I can see what your saying.

As far as the issue goes..

It doesn't really matter tbh, other then the fact they are slowly spamming their post count, and other aspects of harassment. Nevertheless if you trust some one based on their POST COUNT you are not very smart, I don't care if you have 50 or 500 posts, if you dont have vouches, you dont have vouches, post's count don't matter THAT much, because people who do this will be banned in the long run any ways.

Well, you have to see where he is comming from, he already said his english isn't that great, I would hate to have people talking to me with "hopes" of a big offer on my account whether its for post counts/ or a potential scam. Just to be blocked at the end of it and never hear from them again? I would be unhappy to losing time and false hopes of an offer.

But obviously we can't have people reporting left and right, willy nilly.

Disabling the post count in the black market section would be the ONLY thing you can do really.. But then you would have to do it for every other trading section too, and that's where I get a lot of my post's whether its catching up in a post or two with my friend, selling something/buying something or trying to help some one out IE: Wrong thread, etc.

Let them spam their post counts.
Neither vouches nor post count is a good representation of a person's legitimacy and trading habits. When you decide to trade with someone you need to talk to them and judge what kind of person they are. Research what kind of trades they have made and the reviews they have received for those trades.

Usually, just by speaking with a person, you can determine how you feel about the trade. Vouches and post count can assist in determining how you feel about the trader, but they should definitely not be the only factor. People who get scammed by spammers, people with fake/bought vouches, and dimwits on the forum are the same people who get scammed by email impostors. All of these issues can be avoided. I understand in some situations its completely unexpected, but most of the time it can be easily avoided.
