Facebook Messanger Payment Option

It looks like you can send money via facebook now. Would anyone want to use this over paypal?

 

Not really, wouldn't trust strangers on the internet with my FB profile.
Also no idea how fb payment works, looks like some feature that will get barely used.

 

I wouldn't use it as a PP replacement.

But I do send payments to my friends/family.

 

Seen it, never used it. Too much hassle IMO to use it as a replacement for PP seeing as I'm not sure how it could actually be anymore secure. Plus, 99% of the time, at least in sythe transactions, the person who needs more security is the person buying. Most scams come through the form of account recoveries (obviously).
I'm sure it's nice and easy to use for sending money to family/friends. I use venmo or square cash for that, though.

 

All I know is...I got charged back on paypal. And BitCoin is like...hard for newcomers to set up.

I am curious as to the process of how it actually takes place.
I mean, there has to be some way that money sent can be recovered.. but maybe it's more difficult than PP?
I personally don't know.

 

Curious, how are you finding Bitcoin hard for you to set up? Seemed quite intuitive to me.

 

I'd have to investigate it a little. Probably not use it for a short while to make sure there's no securities issues, etc.

I set it up fine. It is trying to get newcomers who buy from me to set it up that I am having the hassle with.
