Why are Pures better than Mains?

My mate was trying to explain why pures are better than mains to me yesterday but I dont get it.

Are pures better than mains?

 

No not to me pures are only good for pking and staking about it
Mains can do it all lol

 

pures are good because they have high str/att/mage/range while keeping a low combat level.

 

that was my point but people think pures are better because they can hit the same as mains but they have lower combat. but mains have higher defence (depending on the pure) so they get hit less. so shouldnt mains be better?

 

pure are better bc they dont take time to do non comabt skills unless their skillers but other wise bc they dont spend alot of time on those stats or def or prayer mostly just on mage range atk and str so they can hit higher at a lower lvl

 

I personally think they always turn. Mains wearing full rune in FTP VS a Pure will usually turn into the pure dying.

If it's just a pure with no armour VS a main with no armour the pure would win. To me it seems that the armour makes the largest difference.

 

When you have a far higher strength level than someone's defense level, chances are you will keep critical hitting them.

 

pures are gay, there overrunning the game. all they do is train cmb stats. mains are much more funner cus u can actually enjoy things other than training cmb and pking. i bet there are as many pures out there as macros, maybe even more

I really get bored without pking. It's the only thing that keeps me on RS. And I agree pures are everywhere now-a-days. Is was so much better when you went to the wild and there were about ten mains and one or two pures.

I don't find so. I'm a level 60 pure with 75 strength and I can't hit on a level 60 with 40 defense and full rune :\

 

Pures actually suck really badly unless you're going to PJ lol.

 

in pking if mains were willing to bring all there expensive stuff full barrows and such they would most likely win but thats my opinion

 

runescape 2 general please? this is for like..real life stuff...

either way...mains are better than pures..

because if you have a maxed out 126...and a maxed out but 1 def pure...the 126 would own the pure.

Well think about it, a maxed out pure vs a maxed out main who would win?

 

Think of it this way, Mains can make money, whereas pures need money to make. So if there was no mains pures would have no way of getting stats to pk to make money. Mains are the reason pures were first made.

 

Ok, look, lets say a level 60 melee pure has 60 attack, 80 strength, and 1 defense.

He will be facing level 60 mains that will have stats more like this 40-60 attack, 40-60 strength, and around 40 defense. The pure will be able to hit atleast 5 higher, if not more.

 

Well in p2p Around 75 cb. 1 def pures SUCK. Hey they got 99 str. well guess what your in monk robes... 45 def pures like me. Well be just hitting 20s-25s. All the time. While you get a few lucky shots in. Meh your specs might help but we are almost guaranteed to not miss a spec.
