Don't really know which section this should go in so decided to post it here, anyways this project took about 5 hours to do and tablet will be mainly used for navigation/music. I could have went to Walmart and bought myself a mount for the tablet however I wanted something more permanent so I made this, I have no previous experience in fabricating was hoping it would have turned out better but still turned out okay:p

Everything started from the cardboard piece as I used it to build the new frame/molding. Had to cut out everything and move the heather panel down as far as I could so the tablet would fit as its a 10,1" tab.

And this is what I ended up with once I was done.

Turned out way better than I was expecting. I thought you were going to ruin the dash, but it looks quite nice.

Wow that looks really neat, maybe you can edge up the white lines a little more too. Looks really good though.

Not bad at all considering it's your first fabrication. The tablet isn't mounted permanently then I'm guessing ? I helped a friend make a mount where the power source of the tablet is direct to the battery when the car is on.

I mean its attached to the back panel with velcro strapping, the tablet just needs to be put in place, and i will hook up the charger to the 12V cigarette light back in behind (taken from another dash) just to keep the cords away from sight and ill just make one master volume button as i need to hook some more cables up to my amp

make model and year of the car? You can tell a lot about a person depending on what they drive.

I'm not a big fan of changing interior or exterior of auto mobiles I find it ruins the designers touch I'm more off a stock type of guy.

Thanks man, I tried my best and thats what I ended up with, most of all it only cost me around 7 bucks to do the project and you can buy these dash kits that are made by professionals but ive seen them go for around 600 bucks so its out of the picture for me and it was just a way for me to kill some time:p While the truck is in the paint booth im going to make a shoe shelf that looks antique out of some really nice wood that i got laying around
