On items that have just plummeted, you can, even if you miss the first day of rise, buy at max on one update, and sell at max again on next update to make 5% profit. I did this with Elite Black Sets last week and made a health 500k over one update.
I agree though it is best to catch them at the lowest, but lower profit margins = more safety. Its all about risk really.

NOTE: Dharok Helms are plummeting. They were constant for a while with the odd bounce on and off the 20-day average, but now they have dropped well away from the average. Do you think they could bounce back up again?

Great to see all of the hot item tips being posted - I'm going to make sure to include a submission form when the ExchangeWatch gets moved to Rune-Tips.net.

I have my computer fixed now, so Rune-Tips will be up and running as soon as I can collect a few more guides to have ready by release day.

Thats only if the item goes up a full 5% which. If it's buying only at max and selling instantly at max it probably will have about a 4-5% raise at the least.

As of right now, I only have time to update once or twice a week. When I move to Rune-Tips I'll be choosing another ExchangeWatch manager to help, and I'll hopefully be able to get it updated every other day.

archer rings are about to drop again...
verac flail just suffered from a drop and a bounce-back is pretty much promised there. Dharock was most likely manipulated to produce such a drop, in my opinion. They would be a pretty good investment too, once they start flattening out.
I looked at some other items such as rune boots, but they look deceiving. Their 20-day average was recently broken and rune boots might start rising again. I think they're pretty risky due to the fact that some people may sell their own stock along their hike to the top.

Verac Flails took a 9.8k drop today compared to 5.6k yesterday. That may sound like they're plummeting but it's rather hard to purchase at miminum. I had an offer up for 20 at minimum shortly after the update which was around 3AM this morning and I've still only obtained 10 of the 20 over 15 hours later. A possible sign that they're about to turn around. If you can still get them at medium it'll mean a 5% profit. However remember you can only get 10 of them every 4 hours. Unless you buy broken and fix them which isn't worth it unless they take a huge rise. So I don't suggest that.

Dharok Plate and Axe were both manipulated and just beginning their drop. Great chance to profit on the rebound. However, if you search a bit harder you'll find a couple more items that are further down their drop from being manipulated.

But I'm glad you noticed the Verac Flails too. However, the rise on them is coming soon. Try and buy at minimum, and you'll most likely get a few. Try at medium and you'll get as many as you want (10/4hrs) Also keep your eyes on the Dh Plate and Axes. If you feel a bit daring go for Ahrim top and bottom. I'd feel safer with the top than the bottom just looking at the past graph.

My tips usually come late, not because I'm intentionally trying to ruin others. It's because I don't post tips unless I'm confident in them and already put millions into my investments. This does usually mean smaller profits for you guys, which I'm sorry. By time time I've invested millions, I usually still have a plan to invest more, but it even turns out too late for me. So when I give my tips it's usually about time to buy at medium rather than low. All of my tips usually guarantee 2 GE updates before it's time to sell. On the second ge update I'll sell 80-90% of my investment at max. Then later on when it gets closer to the next update (estimate within 6-8) hours I will put up more at max and judge how fast it sells at max. If it still sells instantly I know I can safely hold for one more day.

I'm telling you this because it may help those who cannont buy at minimum maximize profits. Because I know all too well, how demoralizing it can be when you see a rise and expect to sell at max, but find yourself selling at. minimum. It's subtle little clues you have to use to know when to drop out.

I personally hate investing on items while they rise, and selling at the end of the rise. I just never find it to have enough profit and a lot more risky. But if you're one of those kind of people you could try black flowers, and loop half keys. However, it may be too late on those.

Also the Xchange Watch still says buy Combat Bracelets this is a no-no. If you have any sell them now! They are a very good example of an item that go manipulated and had mulitple rebounds. Which made it a very predictable item, however, at this point, the next rebound is going to be very small, and then the item should stabilize and make a slow rise. So no more of Combat Bracelets.

I know I posted this above, but Ahrim Top and Bottom are both nearing their decline. I have too much money in other places to test whether or not it's a good idea to stock now or wait a day or two. Barrows items tend to spike up and down rather than show signs of slowing. You have to use techniques of trying to buy before GE updates to test if it's going to spike in either direction. But I'd say if you feel daring stock up now. If you wanna try tomorrow that'd be a better choice. But they will spike up and from the looks of it, give a 2-3 day rise, and the 3rd day should be the safe one to sell out.

Of course this all at your own risk. They only item I feel safe with right now is Verac Flails which maybe a bit late for some of you.

Love your post Derly! The amount of effort you put into helping other investors and the time you spend on your posts is truly remarkable. I wish i could half as good a writer as you :)

On another note I have been moved to Varsity as a 2nd baseman for my high-school baseball team as a sophomore :) Now this may seem that i will be even less active than i already am :( But actually it means that I will just be logging on to check the ge and will be abel to research more items and look over more graphs. In essence, I hope to be of more use to this thread in the upcoming months, and to give my full support towards the release of Rune-Tips.

Sell early, at the first rise, and make profits. Then from there keep watching the graph even after you sell. This will help you learn how long you can usually keep an item for. But selling on the first rise is always safe because it's always selling at max. Usually the same can be said about the second rise. But usually keep watching an item even after you've sold out, to see how close to the max you got. Remember you never wanna wait till the peak anyways cause it doesn't sell for max on that day ever. You wanna sell on the same update before the peak. But if you wanna be safe just selling on the first or second rise.
