All active ExchangeWatch mods and Item Specialists will be able to access the full V.I.P. ExchangeWatch for free. Depending on how I code the RuneTips.net V.I.P. section, they may have access to the Alchemy Tool and other V.I.P.-only resources as well.

    EDIT: 700th Reply! W00t!

The alch watch thing isn't something that impresses me about the VIP. Honestly that's information that is easy to look up on your own. However, I'm not saying make it free, it's only collecting data I can find easily on my own with a piece of paper. My point is just that I don't really think something like that does much to spice up the VIP section.

Those were almost maximum rises though.

You'd be surprised at how lazy some people are who play runescape. I researched all the pouches when I alched, and I made a profit, but it took atleast half an hour to go through 30-40 pouches. At the end of the day an extra like that saves people time which = money :D

Time=Money. The alchemy tool by itself wouldnt be worth a VIP memby, but maybe 4 or 5 of those quality tools, plus a pin selling program, cool, informative guides that are exclusive to the VIP section, and items that give you more profit then just average items would make the VIP section worthwile. Also remember the content wouldnt ahve to be just created by Merchant In the Dark, guides and other applications can be user-submitted. So if you have something cool to add to the site run it by him. Because if all the members work together with user submitted material, your VIP membership will increase in value.

I agree, that's why I'm making this. There is no way any person can go through a list of items to find the ABSOLUTE BEST item to alch with the kind of speed or precision my program can.

If there are any other programs like this that you want made, let me know - I'm hoping to make several, for both V.I.P.s and for everyone.

I've already decided that anyone who writes at least two quality guides for Rune-Tips will have free access to the V.I.P. section :D

Both my guide and the ExchangeWatch are hosted on crappy free servers at the moment, so they go down every so often.

I'm tracking down a good hosting account right now, and I'll re-release both sites as part of Rune-Tips.net.

Calculating the best price for an alch item might be alright. But that's something I'm willing to settle on "very good" rather than "the best". I calculate data like that all the time it usually only takes 5-10 mins and I can do it while playing.

All you would have to know is the price items high alch for, the price they are in the ge, and the price of nature runes. Aside from that you can most likely pick from the most popular high alched items, start finding out which yields the best profit, simple calculation only requires addition and subtraction skills or a calculator. With a piece of paper, you can easily go down a list 5-10 mins.

I do this kind of thing all the time training various skills for xp and for money.
Things like the price/xp of farming trees and fruit trees. As well as other seeds.
The best herb to plant if you want the "greatest return" - fyi it's not snap or ranarr, in fact their two of the lowest from my calculations
The best herb to plant to gain the "fastest profits" - still not ranarr and snap lol
The best potion to make if you plan to "recycle" the herbs (ie make pots, sell back, buy herbs and seconds, and repeat) - calculate the one that recycles the money for the greatest xp
Just about any kind of calculation you could want can be done simple with a piece of paper, writing utensil, and a calculator.

Because all of these things can be done while playing the game (5 min logout helps a lot), and you say that your main goal with them is to save time (time=money), saving 10 minutes of my time isn't much. It doesn't really help gain that much more money.

So far the only thing of your VIP that entices me, would be the higher quality tips being given. I guess I'll just have to trial out VIP for a month to see how great your tips really are. Otherwise if you're trying to cater toward the lazy players, I can write a few guides that many players of that demographic would benefit from. As it seems whenever I tell people in the game most of them never knew about it, or simply never thought of figuring it out themselves.

You have a good point, but you have to remember that not everyone has the ability/will to find these things on their own - thus all of the "What do I alch?" threads in forums like this one.

A program also has much greater precision and scope then any human - that's why everything to do with numbers is automated nowadays. My program will check items that you wouldn't even consider.

Finally, ten minutes saved IS alot. If you play RuneScape every day, that's almost an hour and a half you saved a week. Going by minimum wage, you just saved $13.50 :p

The point I'm trying to make is that even if you can do this on your own, automating it makes it easier, faster, and more reliable.

Yes, they did drop 9 gp, but raw sharks went up 1 gp. Since they are connected, we should see a huge rebound starting tomorrow.

I actually find it rather safe, to invest in manipulated items after they fall. There is almost always a bounce. The bounce usually consists of 1 day of slowing, then 2-3 days of rising. On they slowing day it usually becomes impossible to buy anywhere below medium, where as the day before it was easy to stock up at minimum. Never wait till the 3rd day of rising because it's usually a slowed rise and becomes impossible to sell above medium, indicating another drop.

Basically if you can stock up on the item the day or two before it begins the slowed decline, then you know you've got about 2-3 days to hold it and sell at max.

Of course this method does have exceptions. There maybe a larger rise, or a smaller rise, maybe the drop will slow and then plummet again. It's not fool proof. It's just something I've found rather useful in my own investing.

Anyways I'm a day late on posting this but I was going to post Strength ammies today. As I thought they would continue to fall for another day. I'm sorry but they look like good profit. I've got an offer up at slightly above medium and they're coming in terribly slow. So looks like I was a bit late on that. I'll get back to you guys in a bit with other items I'm watching.
