[Food] Burger King - Tripleta Review

Yesterday, November 19, Christopher Columbus went to Puerto Rico on vacation. Well, yesterday in 1493. It was National Discovery of Puerto Rico Day, so what is more fitting than a Puerto Rican review on the next day?

"But OP, what is a tripleta sandwich?"

A tripleta sandwich is usually made with two cuts of ham, steak, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Served between delicious pressed bread.

Burger King has two cuts of ham in the form of sliced ham and bacon. The steak is still there, as are the rest of the toppings. They even added potato sticks at the bottom.

Usually a combo is an upcharge of $2, so for $3 the sandwich size isn't actually too bad. It is longer than a regular burger, and has a variety of meat and toppings. The bacon was as crispy as you're gonna get (bacon in Puerto Rico's fast food chains tend to be crispier). The ham was just your standard sliced ham. Steak was good and flavorful unlike a certain steak item I recently had (still didn't have a lot of steak on it, but you could taste the bit that it had). Didn't really notice the flavor of the potato sticks. Bread was also better than normal bread at BK.

High 5/5 seal of approval. Not only is it an amazing localized item, but it tasted amazing for a fair price. My favorite item I've had at BK, followed by the Angry Whopper.

If they had a spicy version of this, I'd be in heaven.

Burger King is not bad. Been getting worse over the years, but it is very popular and I believe the second-most popular place next to Church's. Church's is king over there. It really was a good one but honestly I just wanted to take my pictures and eat it ASAP lmao. It was using a 2010 cameraphone lmao >.>.
