What happened to the old recovery process?

I sold my main to my dumbass friend IRL because I quit, with the knowledge that he would simply play on it and not sell it. He fucking sold it and I want it back. Apparently the email was changed so I cannot recover it.

Seeing as you sold it, it's his choice whether he wants to sell it or not. Now that he sold it, I don't think you are allowed to recover it unless you refund him. If you do recover it, it's considered scamming which is forbidden on Sythe.

 

How do you recover accounts in general nowadays? It appears Jagex changed things.

 

I would tell you but it seems you are going to use it to do things that are forbidden on Sythe. It has changed though, yes and it's harder to recover accounts now.

 

yeah .... its not hard to figure out with any sort of research what so ever (even looking through the forums) and it sounds like your trying to scam your "friend" you sold the account and he sold it you gave up ownership in the first place therefore you are trying to recover what isnt yours. imma go ahead and report you know seeing as these trades probably took place here .

 

As he had sold it to an IRL friend, he didn't commit the scam here on Sythe but scamming anywhere in general warrants a ban regardless.

If you didn't understand, he had sold his account to his IRL friend who then sold it to another person, who is the person who will get fucked over (if he does indeed recover).

 

Email [email protected] and I believe they will send you a manual recovery form. It may take a while though (Up to 14 days.) You really shouldn't though, inquire with the person your friend sold it to and buy it back fair and square.
