Well hi everyone I am a big fan of pop music and I am stuck at college in 2nd year at the moment not happy with doing the subjects chemistry maths and biology got good grades in the first year I just hate it literally anyway I have a interest in music I have never performed in front
Of my family just my friends and they give me high praise ( go on X factor they usually say, they won't say I'm rubbish though to my face that's what I keep saying to them but they keep telling me my falsetto is amazing that's high voice) but I had a accident like 2 years ago and lost a huge amount of confidence that's why I haven't persuade my singing I can't even make small talk with new people that I meet (girls) it is really shocking I'm confused what should I do? How do I come over this confidence issue and should I persue a career I. Music ? There is a "gap" for a British Asian solo singer apparently personally I don't think so and I do think I am good enough to make it big can anyone help me ? Also how do I overcome this confidence issue it's so hard I was so talkative before but now it's just hard to get a conversation flowing with a new person I meet either in class or new neighbours or whatever it's just hard .

Have something school-related to back you up should your music career not go so well. It's a cut-throat industry and someone with no confidence will be eaten up and spat out in a heartbeat, I'm sorry to say,

Go to lessons with a professional, it will build your confidence immensely to hear a professional's praise because a tutor will tell you if you're messing up.

Once your confidence is built you could start performing at small events and pubs/clubs etc. Get a good network of contacts on social media sites, that's the best way to get noticed and 'in' these days.

Remember; it's harder to perform for people you know than strangers, so you may not be ready to yet, its cool!

Step #1: stop caring what others think, and just do it.

Step #2: Go out there, and realize you'll never see these people ever again in your life. You'll either blow them away with talent, or you'll flop and exit the stage.

Step #3: Love yourself, you only live once so quit being afraid to live.

As mr. banned said, if you really love that, then go for it. What are people gonna do? smirk or giggle? that's nothing.
