EtherCraft: New ETH DAPP similar to CryptoKitties, but with an actual game.

EtherCraft a decentralized RPG running on the Ethereum blockchain. At the moment, it's pretty similar to CryptoKitties, but has a full game in development backing it.

This is day two of their launch. It's basically in an ICO phase right now. Over 1,000 people have claimed the free gift bag already, and sales are flowing thru.

The game model is pretty simple. You prepare your character by buying armor, weapons, food, etc. When you're good to go, you head off to the dungeon & start finding "gold." Gold is the in-game currency, that has it's own ETH token, & can be directly translated into your ETH wallet.

So it's basically a "paid-to-play" game. The items also have their own token to keep them decentralized from the server. You can sell them off thru EtherDelta whenever you want.

You can start by getting the free items if you're hesitant and want to make sure it works.

I recognize that Ethercraft is pushing paid content, but the free stuff includes all pieces you need to get started.

And when you buy a shop item, you receive profits for each subsequent sale. It's still early enough to make gains, especially on the cheaper Enchanted Items and swords. I'd be wary of the Jolly items, as they'll be pulled within next couple days, while the others will be up thru this month. The rest of them are on sale thru this month, and set up to reward early players.

The next plays will be translations for Japanese, Korean, & Spanish translations, & launching the Crafting section of the site.

Introduction to EtherCraft can be read here. That blog also addresses questions, concerns, and all that fun noise. You do need MetaMask installed to participate. They developers posted a "getting started" guide as well (including M.M. instructions).
