Hi folks, I've been playing Gw2 since release and I still find WvW entertaining on it, though recently I stumbled upon an Elder Scrolls Online PvP video and for some reason found myself watching it. I've heard ESO has been a huge let-down, but watching this video it looked extremely similar to Gw2, but the graphics were amazing and the map was huge. Can anyone give me an un-bias opinion on ESO please? Also, I'm a bit confused by the pricing.. The "basic" version on the ESO website costs £49.99, but on Play.com it's only £19.95. Surely there's something I'm missing here.. there can't be that much of a price gap? If someone could tell me the monthly p2p price aswell that would be great!
$15,month, cost me $80 or so for Imperial edition iirc. I was in every beta test and played it before it was released. I've played every TES game released and 100%'d vanilla skyrim and morrowind. Un-biased? Game's shit, don't waste your time. Other MMO's are so much further developed and more entertaining that you'd have tons of luck elsewhere. It's a grind that leads to a grind, with lackluster PvP and terrible voice acting and storylines.
If you are looking for an MMO, ESO is not for you. It is a decent excuse for a multiplayer Skyrim, but the MMO aspect of it is just lacking. The $15/m price on it is the breaking point in terms of bothering to play it at all. That being said, Bethesda normally produces quality games, and I wouldn't be surprised if they made some significant improvements to the game over the coming year or so, especially considering the amount of money they are generating.
This game is a promising concept with an interesting twist to the main franchise. However, the price of $15 a month really discourages me from playing.
I tried it, I enjoyed it but I can't justify paying 15 dollars a month as well, at least not right now. Have a lot other monthly bill responsibilities. This isn't good enough to warrant its 15$/month price.
I see, so it's good but not $15/month good? I felt the same way about SWTOR. The PvP is decent but the rewards don't encourage you to non-stop PvP and if I remember right, it's roughly the same price. I did however play it for quite a long time. I guess I'll just stick with Gw2 for now. Thanks folks.
As Im concerned,ESO was never good to begin with, I along with others didnt have much faith in it. Tbh after looking at streams and gameplay I would say you would be better with Runescape RS storyline and quests are preferebly better.
