Help.. trouble logging in RS

So like 1 month ago my comp has been doing fine. I would log into RS with no problems, etc. Then it started - it just wouldn't fucking load, well it would, but it would slow as fuck. Literally impossible to play. Then 1 week ago it was fixed, and yesterday I tried to load it up but had lots of windows open so bam.. fucked again.

Then after browsing on Firefox for like 1 hour it decides to load.. but it won't before I am actually browsing for quite a time..

Thoughts?

Have you tried download the rs client from the website...

 

I have, it's even worse.

 

Try clearing your internet cache and cookies.

And also try a different browser, maybe Internet Explorer if Mozzila Firefox doesn't work? Or reinstall Java, and try.

What does it say when it doesn't work? Is there an error message or just blank?

 

1-Try and download the ''Rs client'' from the website.
2-try and download the newest Java.
3-Try and download ''Google Chrome'' and run runescape on this way.

 

How old is your computer? Are you trying to run it on High-def mode, or will it not run at all? Do you have other windows running while trying to run Runescape?

5 year old computer, not high-def. It will run, just slowly. No other windows.

 

recently i was playing and i would notice rs would just get so fucking slow. like even if i went to lowest settings it would take forever to do things, like your problem.

i figured out the problem

since firefox has a memory leaking problem, as you browse, all your history gets saved and your sessions get saved. well firefox, especially when your opening and closing tabs all the time, will remember everything you do but never delete it. so after a while of browsing, your memory usage on firefox will be huge.

this will affect java.

the solution: play rs on one broswer, and go on the internet on another.

currently i use safari to play rs and firefox to browse. this has now fixed my problem and i can play high detail, highest settings, be in a drop party with 500 ppl, and it will play smoothly.

try it out, it will work.

 

I have Chrome, but same story there.

 

try playing on 2 browsers if that doesnt work then maybe you have some spyware or something on your comp. or maybe you are out of space on your hd

 

It might be your graphics card finally fucking up after a while or ram problems... because I've had these sorts of problems before with WoW.

Do other games work on your computer?
