Epic fails around the world

Please tell us your epic fails

It would be very nice if you can share your location and culture to accommodate the story so we can also generalize what kind of epic fails happen in what countries in what cultures.

Let me start off with mine. My friend and I traveled to Pennsylvania and decided to visit Amish community in Lancaster. We read and watched videos about Amish people but always wanted to experience the real mysterious life and culture of Amish people.



As we were driving in Lancaster, not seeing any way we could approach an Amish house to have a conversation because they all stayed inside and were rather reserved, we thought about ways to break the wall. So we decided to pretend to be Amish. We stepped out of the car and started talking to a small group of Amish people standing outside "Hello, we are not from here, but we are also Amish." However, we forgot that we dressed in Abercrombie style and the group of Amish people stayed silent for so long.



We looked at each other, looked at our clothes, found this out and started walking back to our car and left.
