    Feeling tired all the time?

Lately I've been feeling tired more and more.

Sleep is not an issue, I sleep like a baby, though my sleep schedule is still highly messed up because of working all night during the school yr many days (I had 11:45-7 AM shifts, so my average bed time in the summer is like 3 AM).

I sleep 8 hours though, usually more, so why do I feel tired all the time (early evening like 5-6 PM is when it hits)?

Sometimes I'll take a nap, but sometimes I don't / don't want to because then I won't end up going to bed til like 7 AM because I won't be tired again til then.

Any good advice for overcoming feeling fatigued? It's a really annoying problem.

Maybe someone here who has suffered from the same thing can help me out?

Also, any advice on fixing / readjusting a sleeping schedule? Some people tell me to pull an all nighter and then not go to bed until like 10-11 pm the next night.

    Thoughts, advice?

If you don't workout, you should. Or something that get you energized. If you already do sports/work out, are you sad/depressed over anything? (I guess stressed would be better to use)

Be awake for 36~ hours. (Try and wake up to be able to stay up 36 hours and then be able to fall asleep at the time you wish. Make sure your alarm is set at the time you wish to wake up.) Sleep schedule should reset as long as you try and fall asleep around that time every night.

Sleeping too much can be more detrimental than sleeping too little. Sleep around 8-10 hours a night and around the same time. A bad sleeping pattern wont help.

You need to eat right and use up all your energy doing stuff, too.

Stressed out sometimes definitely Stickly, thanks for the advice! I try to stay physically active, I've noticed I've been doing less of that this summer though, been working a lot. I need to get some exercise in.

My diet is probably a big contributor. I need to be eating more, sometimes I just skip meals entirely. That's probably a big factor.

I have the same issue except I usually sleep 6.5-7.5 hours during week due to work schedule.

Im physically active and not particularly depressed or whatever. Its primarily in my free time that i just drag ass. If I'm alone, I'm tired. Been about past year and a half of so that this has become an issue.

ugh I feel your pain my friend, I really do. I am literally the same way. I'm lucky to be able to at least reach 8-10 hours of sleep if I need it. But I still lag behind badly while alone, just as you said. Motivation is not easy to find.

You should check your testosterone levels, or a general blood check anyway.

You really think it could be something that serious? Yikes, I hope not! I probably have to start eating better.

Any recommendations anyone? What are some good high energy foods?

Best thing to do is go to your local gym and do a quick but intensive workout and when you get back home, have a good meal and I'm sure your problem will be fixed it used to happened to me, glad that the gym/treadmill was a healthy and cheap fix.

    Feeling tired all the time?

I just recently got a nice treadmill put in downstairs. Any advice on a good starting regiment with it? Like how long to be on it or distance?

    This.
After 8 - 10 hours of sleep you'll start to burn a lot of energy the longer you sleep.

Exercise exercise exercise. I work out and I find oddly enough it gives me much more energy during my day. Out of convenience sake I start my day with an early morning bike ride usually. Best way to energize my day.

Unsure if it's been mentioned, but if you can't find an obvious cause for increasing weariness, you could be anemic. It's a lack of iron in your blood, and a major symptom is fatigue

    Feeling tired all the time?

I like to just try and at a minimum have three good meals. Having a wholesome breakfast and lunch has always made me feel good throughout the day.

Breakfast is really important and you should make big efforts to get your system going with a breakfast every day. You'd be surprised how much it changes how you feel. :D

I love all the hokey answers from people like "a balanced diet is key" type shit or "exercse!". I eat three meals a day breakfast being the one I go all out on, get more exercise in ONE day of work that most of you get in a week and have a timely sleep schedule on which I get an adequete amount of sleep for my age group and still suffer from OP's problem.

Frankly all these common sense answers are insulting, its like insinuating OP hasnt heard allthis same shit before..

Maybe you have something deeper going on then nod, but the cliche advice is only cliche because it works for most.

Haha, I have heard a lot of it before, but it's good to hear a wide array of opinions nonetheless. But I share your frustration in the problem. My god, is it irritating.

It seems to be a seasonal issue for me. During the school yr, I do not seem to be tired that often.
