I have been looking to pickup a 1080 TI, but I am trying to decide on one. I'm partial to MSI's armor or the SC2/FTW3, but I cannot find anything definitive about the "best" 1080 ti. Looking purely at performance, sound and all isn't that big of a deal/no card is THAT loud. So, thoughts? Anyone have 1080 TI and/or suggestions on which to get?
Well performance is considered the most important but what about things like cooling? And noise level? Do you intend to overclock it? Noise level is also an important factor to consider (if you are bothered about noise and so on)
Performance is mainly what I am looking for, noise is not a big factor as long as it's not outrageously loud. As for cooling, it doesn't really matter to me. Looking for factor overclock and the out of the box best card
Yeah for sure. Thinking a stock oc'd card. Leaning towards the ftw series, but haven't spent all that much time looking into cards tbh Haven't gotten one yet Haven't gamed much recently and am considering waiting to see how Vega performs.
I think MSI still have to release their 1080 Ti but have a look at the EVGA one, that is considered the best performance one. If you're after some lovely flashy lights on your GPU, I can highly recommend the ASUS STRIX model. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, did a bit of research and found this - *Updated* GTX 1080 Ti Aftermarket Card Comparison Chart Seems MSI have released their brands since their cards after all. Looking at the round up it seems ASUS is actually one of the top 3 in terms of performance. Obviously there are higher ones here, but these are the extreme models (which are faster, but generally they cost a lot more money for a smaller increase in performance). Obviously the choice is up to you but taking into account price : performance ratio and looking at customer reviews, I would say it's a split between ASUS, Gigabyte and Zotac. This is of course just performance, not looking at noise level and so on. I think there are still a few more different models for the GTX 1080 Ti to be released, but I doubt they would be able to dent the top 3 here.
