Banned for rwt as small amount buyer

Hi all,

I understand that bans can happen at anytime just posting to share. I have a personal hand trained staker account. I purchased probably around 250m over the course of a weekend on a separate 15 yr mostly unplayed f2p account. Then transferred it to the staker. I end up losing most of the money and end up splitting 200m from the staker to my other actual accounts.

All of these accounts only log in from my home IP. the staker was banned for rwt. the actual buyer account is fine. never sold. Im literally too poor to have ever sold gold.

I didn't do the most security but I feel like including a buffer account on the buy side should've helped? also again How would Jag think I'm selling when I've only ever traded while multi logged on my own PC??

Thank you for the reply. Funny enough. I trained 99 range and 99 magic on this account as well because I wanted my first 126. Only got to 90 pray tho. But yes most other stats were 30s.

 

Max Melee stakers get banned a lot more often than they use too that's for sure.

 

To be honest, I do not know if there is any rhyme or reasoning behind their bans. I have had accounts that traded 1b+ and never had problems, then other times was chain banned soon after trading a few hundred mill. Buying GP is always a risk. If you do not want your hand-trained account banned, then I suggest not buying gold. I do think you will be fine though. (Take that with a grain of salt)

 

maybe seller got ban and was flagged and jagex banned u too for buying gold. getting ban for buying gold is pretty rare.

 

I think this is most likely the case. Combined with the account having a "staking profile," you were probably an easy target. I've bought/sold a ton of GP on a level 80 700 TTLV account without a ban. On the contrary, I once bought 200M on a 2K+ total 126 and it got banned. Come to find out, the seller had a huge market share and didn't take any precautions. My account was just collateral damage of him being flagged.

 

It's very strange, because i got banned on my main, i just borrow for my friend claws, but i have my friends they staking and buying golds, but dont get ban yet..
