I never fucking believed in this shit, these dumb scientist are retarded and predicted many end date of the world and they all failed, exactly 10 and counting. We don't know when the world will end and science will never be able to predict the end date of the world.

People miss some very obvious things with the whole 2012 thing. They're all like "Oh, it's absurd, the world won't end." Here's the thing though. That date, December 21st 2012 that not only the Mayans, but also the Chinese had predicted, is ASTRONOMICALLY SIGNIFICANT. That just happens to be the exact day that our solar system comes into alignment with the center of the milky way galaxy, after which it will cross over into the other hemisphere of the galaxy and the planets poles will become reversed. Will anything happen? Probably not, but the point isn't that they were wrong... it's that THEY KNEW!

Doesn't anyone find it slightly odd that these supposedly non-technological ancient civilizations knew of astronomical events and the exact day on which it would occur THOUSANDS of years before we did?

Edit: Before you all go and say it's a coincidence that they picked that day, it only occurs once every 26,000 years or so. There's no coincidence here.

 

You're a tad bit late with this. More pieces to the Mayan Calendar have since been found.

 

LIES! your trying to trick us! that way when the aliens come down they can bring the zombie virus with them so when the asteroid hits we'll be too busy fighting off zombie hordes and alien probes to stop it, then when the asteroid causes the earth to implode we wont have any ships to escape in. Forcing us to kill the aliens and hijack their ship only to realize that it wasn't a ship but it was a time machine/ship hybrid! brought us back to the time of dinosaurs, which we few last survivors will have to fight off the t-rex's that wrecked out ship.

Little did we know that the zombie virus was still on the ship and when the ship was destroyed the zombie virus got loose and infected all the dinosaurs making them invincible as our one lovable black survivor says "How da fuck we gonna shoot a dino in da head". Soon though another alien spaceship will arrive to find the one that went back in time so they could retrieve the information, that's when the predators attacked! Killing all of the aliens and then hunting us but luckily we met up with a non-zombified stegasaurus name RICO and he fought off the predators for us as we took over the ship and sent ourselves back to the time we came from but we realised this place sucked after our black team mate got his neck ripped to shreds after he made the mistake of helping a bloody lil white girl.

So we high-tailed it out of there but we accidentally hit the return home button, so the ship transported us to the aliens home where we surprisingly found all of the myans and when we asked them what happened they said "all we was doing was sitting around workin on our calender when dee's mofo's came and jacked us" and were like no shit. So we befriended one of the mayans and returned to the time machine and we went back to the year 2010 so we could warn people what was to happen.

Only problem was we were still on the alien planet so when we went back in time and showed up there they were like WTF 0.0 and we were like WTF 0.0 and then they was like "KILLL THEM" but they said it in a wierd language it sounded like "click click boom" but we killed all of them and returned home safely....until we needed the antidote..

 

2012 Wont happen....Just like y2k did not happen.

 

I think he legitimately made it as a serious post to rouse counter arguments from people but i gotta i have just made one of the greatest end of the world storyline ever conceived by a mind of man.

 

This on top of that pretty much destroys the 2012 conspiracy.

 

Although technically it never really existed XD only people who were stupid enough to believe such an interpretation actually took it as truth.
