Bought a fire cape for osrs on Friday from Macho (macho). Woke up this morning to log in and looks like he decided to completely fuck me over. Had a complete brain fart and when changing the password for the service I changed it to the password I also use for that email... Just realized now...

Password was changed and I'm attempting to recover now. Not too hopeful as I just transferred 150m back onto yesterday.

Here is a screenshot where he changed the email to a gmail account, i don't have any gmail accounts that I use for anything but school. May also just be a coincidence but it starts with the same letter and exact same length as his skype profile name linked off his thread to avoid imposters.

Obviously that isn't enough proof but lucky for me hotmail has a deleted item recovery feature and I found these deleted items in my hotmail just now:

As you can see this morning before I woke up someone used this email to first change the password on the osrs account and then changed the email.

I know it was because of Macho because this is the only person other than myself who has had access to my account in a matter of months. It's way too much of a coincidence for both my email and account to only be compromised a couple days after he went on it. Other emails WITH THE SAME PASSWORD but not mentioned to him are all safe, including emails attached with other runescape accounts. This email is also only used for runescape and my last virus scan was last night which found nothing.

When I get my account back I want every single item that was on it to still be on it. I took screenshots before he got me a firecape so I can cross reference easily.

EDIT: appeal went through as I was typing this post. Account is totally and completely cleaned. This degenerate fuck even sold off my imbued rings.

 

So maybe he's using proxies idk but if not he's stupider than me because microsoft gave me the suspicious login IP address. Not sure if i'm allowed to post it here but i'll pm the screenshot when someone reviews this.


I have managed to contact him. He's acting very suspicious, attached is the chat log so far. My guess is that he's legit in the cape service but saw this opportunity and decided to take it. I offered him the chance to come clean or provide other explanations as to how it happened (worker gone bad, keylogger etc.) but he's now ignoring me and telling me to stop spamming. In the mean time, I recommend running an anti-virus on your computer, in case you have a virus.
