Ehh, I think I need help before I ruin it.

Alrighty, I should start from the start otherwise all of you will be confused.

around 2-3 weeks ago I started having suicidial thoughts after being depressed for 3 years. (I DONT suffer from bipolar). So I decided to tell my best friend harry, then 3 days ago I told another good friend luke..they started saying "Brookes been asking questions.." So I decided to tell brooke (Close close girl).
2days ago I told her this is how It went..

I say:
Brooke..you see the reason I've been 'down' lots is from 'suicidial' thoughts..

she says:
I don't care

Like WTF how can someone say that? When for all they know that could of been my last day on earth?

At school she ignored Harry, luke and myself for the whole day..in the arvo she got on msn...

She said
"Go to hell loser"

I say:
Hell isn't real
'
She said:
Hell would be real if you killed yourself.


So I got a few friends to talk to her, she blocked them. Harry decided to ring her, she hung up.

I don't know what to do, and how to approach her and talk about it. Please someone help =]

Well obviously she's angry because you were going to kill yourself. Either she likes you a whole lot, or she just doesn't want to lose you. She resents you for your suicidal thoughts, and hopes that if you realize she's angry at you, then you won't want to kill yourself anymore.

 

Well you cant make her talk so just leave it alone for ahwile.

 

I agree with Billyy, you told your close friend something she wasn't expecting and she freaked out.

I say you let her know that you were only having these thoughts for a little while, and you hoped she would help you out. Tell her that you didn't mean to scare her, and at least you let her in on what was going on in your life.

Or possibly she realized that you could be like the other n% of people that say they are having suicidal thoughts and she knew you weren't actually going to do it and she just wanted you to realize what a jerk you had been.

Or possibly she didn't like you in the first place

There are countless possibilities..

But if you really want her to be your friend again, I suggest going up to her, admit you were being a total fag and you never intended to kill yourself.

If she asks why, tell her because you did feel depressed, and you thought that was how you felt but now you realize you were just being a complete jackass.

I want to refrain from being to harsh, as if you did kill yourself I would feel guilty.

But I really don't agree with suicide, and I also think telling people you're going to kill yourself defeats the whole point of it.

Maybe she cant handle the fact of you thinking about that kind of stuff...

It's like, if you really care alot about a friend, and really CARE about him/her, and they get put in the hospital, you dont want to go see them because you dont want to see them suffering. Sit her down and talk to her 1v1, ask her why she's been acting like this, if she refuses to sit down with her, leave her be for a while.

Maybe she just realizes you are being an an attention whore

because you are.

 

She obviously doesn't want to deal with some whiny emo kid (not flaming all seriousness intended you are doing this out of sympothy from what you say in your post) She obviously seen that you were a attention needing type of person, and she didn't want to deal with it. I suggest you try finding a different friend. It's just how some things happen people need to be around people who "deal" with the same issues you should find some common ground with people like yourself and befriend them instead of trying to fix something that evedently wasn't that strong to begin with or atleast not as strong as your thinking. No true friend would have said that to you if they were actually your friend.

Same as Jansen - I've been to rehab 5 times, does that make me an attention seeker that may not kill themselves? Think not. Rehab = Already attempted suicide a few times.

If the bitch can't offer the sligthest bit of sympathy when you need it (apparently), than you're just wasting your time talking to her.

You have no fucking reason to be suicidal. I have no idea where you live, or your situations, but you apparently have a computer, and I'd go as far to assume you have a roof over your head and two parents who love you. Shit is a lot worse on the other side of the fence, so I urge you to take a look at people who really have it tough. Saying that, I've never stepped into your shoes, and won't so I really don't know what the fuck you've been through. Just cheer up, grow some balls, and realize that the sun is still shinning, and shit is always worse for someone else.

 

An attention seeker, that has over reactive parents ? anyone else sensing this? what in the world can have a 14 year old, actually i think you said 11 (3 years you said you have been like that correct?) an 11 year old feel the need to commit suicide, I have only met one person who has ever been suicidal and they killed themselves at the age of 14 which was my old girlfriend. An she had a reason worthy, which if I had known about it before hand I could have probably done something to stop it.

P.S. keep in mind I do not condone any type of suicide, there is always a better choice.

My sentiments exactly, and even people who have it bad shouldn't be like that unless they have no way of getting the hell out of the situation. I had a rough life pretty much since I was 8 or so, and I am doing well for myself and I am quite successful for my age.

Edit: Almost forgot don't tell people you have suicidal thoughts. You could be put in the loony bin, happened to my friend. :l
