To buy or not to buy?

Hey, I'm thinking of buying a new computer.

There are a few things I need to know, however.

I like the look of this one. It's pretty good for the price, although people are saying you would need to upgrade the graphics card for it to be worth while. I'm fine with doing that, however I would need to know which one to get, and how easy it would be to fit.

    The item I'm looking at:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/182594

The only things I've actually done with the interior of my computer is changed my old 250GB HDD to a 1TB HDD and changed 2x1GB RAM sticks for 2x2GB RAM sticks.

How easy would it be to fit a new graphics card? Do you think that's a good choice for a computer?

    Thanks

P.S I will be using this computer for gaming (WoW, Left for Dead 2, etc.) and botting. Please also let me know how many bots this PC could probably run at once without much lagg.

P.S.S My computer currently has 4GB RAM however I can only run 3 bots with minor lagg. I have been told this is due to my processor. I wonder how true that is.

Stop doing a "P.S.S." Just edit your fucking post. If you're running 3 with minor lag it's probably because you're RUNNING 3. This'll easily spike your latency. You'll be fine with your current computer. I can't help you with your graphic card question because I don't know how big your tower/mobo/gfx card is. Yes, they do matter.

It's good but acer is pretty well known for providing shit powersupplies which is crucial for a pc, you need to have atleast 500+ watts, because graphic cards require a certain ammount of watts, but a higher ammount would run it smoothly.

If i were you, i'd just replace the motherboard + processor of your current computer and upgrade it, along with a powersupply ( try to get 500 watts+)

    Processor : http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172755
    Motherboard : http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174625

Not hard to install, keep your ram, is it DDR3? For gaming 4gb ram is enough, anything more is overkill for botting ram would be nice but i say it depends more on your processor the i5 will provide what you need and it's amazing for gaming.
A new graphics card depends on the case make sure to check the graphics card dimensions and measure that room in your pc case would normally be.

A cheap and decent graphics card i would reccomend is

    gpu ( graphics card) : http://www.ebuyer.com/product/190648

It's XFX lifetime warrenty when registered and it has GDDR5 which is real fast for a graphics card 512MB is fine since you have GDDR5, it's much faster then DDR2 or DDR3 graphics cards. It also supports DX11, great budget card.

For a powersupply i reccomend corsair great brand many reccomand it, and atleast 500+ watts it'll look like you need around 600+ watts for the i5 since it needs some juice.

It's better to upgrade the parts then buying a pre made pc, enspecially when it's retail.
Also building a pc isn't hard i can help you if you like, or search on the internet.

EDIT : btw, cases are MID-ATX, ATX, Full tower, find out what type of case it is? Because the motherboard is mid atx, and it'll fit good with mid atx cases. Also make sure to buy a cooling fan very essential for a pc, makes it nice and cool and keeps things running for a long time.

To buy or not to buy?

    Mind is officially boggled :embar:

    The RAM is DDR2 (Corsair)
Replacing the motherboard and processor would cost about £330. I'd rather get a whole new computer to be honest

I'm aiming to be able to run as many bots as possible, really. All I do these days is bot whilst browsing sythe and occasionally play world of warcraft.

If that was the case, would buying the computer listed in the OP then replacing the graphics card and power supply be a good idea? Or what there be a better, cost effective method?

Also, I upgraded my RAM from 2-4GB, HDD from 250GB-1TB bought a new fan at christmas time. So the fan is no worry, I believe.

Ebuyer seems to sell parts and full PCs for reasonable prices. To get those kind of specs from PC World you'd probably end up spending £1000s.
Thanks for your help, add my msn if it would be easier.

OP thinks getting a new graphics card will help him run more bots.

You clearly didn't read the thread. I was asking would it be more cost efficient to buy that new computer and replace the graphics card, or to upgrade my current one.

    Reported for spam etc.

Okay, it's always cost efficent upgrading your pc then buying a new retail pc.

To be honest retail pc's are never good you can get atleast x2 times better then what you picked when you make it yourself.

The parts i listed were good for your budget, i suggest going along with them for the bang for the buck.

Buying the retail made pc wouldn't matter as you would have troubles fitting it in the case as not everything can go on the case, there is different sizes atx, mid atx, full tower ( you won't be buying that to be honest). Nowadays mid atx is very popular, and graphics card require system spec requirements. You need to have enough juice.

Also, i suggest upgrading the ram to DDr3, at my 1st post, it shows you that ram, it's much faster then DDR2, and it works togather with the processor to ensure maximum speed, ofcourse if you overclock but you wouldn't want to do that since your a beginner.
