I don't understand why the cashier couldn't just give the lady her money back.

I've seen something like this but with Burger King. They kept getting the order wrong so the lady called the police. Not sure if we got arrested though.

 

This is why McDonalds should be banned from Americans.

 

I would be pissed if they did not give me what I ordered, and did not give me a refund. I would have called the police.

The amount is irrelavant. As a business operating in the United States, they have the duty to refund the customers. I'd probably call the emergency police number, or even see if I can get a lawsuit going.

She should have gotten her money back - it's considered stealing if they don't, and I believe goes against McDonalds code of ToS. I better idea would have been to call the manager or the police station, not 911.
